Superb episode!

Warning: Spoilers
I love the horror genre so I was thrilled when I watched this episode. Even though the premise went in a different direction than I had imagined, I thought it really managed to make me both laugh and get the chills. The friendship between Peter and his Drunken Clam mates is once again the highlight of this episode as we see them enjoying their freetime writing a horror film and facing differences during the climactic scene. The story is then rounded off by the release of their film project. The conversation between Peter and Lois after the alleged killing of the janitor is one of the most hilarious scenes in the show's history.

My only critical point: The subplot revolving Brian and Stewie. Either the writers were too lazy to come up with a side plot or they intentionally try to make Brian worse with every episode. Therefore only nine stars.

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read if you have not seen

This is a great underrated episode that you should give a try. What happens is Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe go see a terrible Horror movie so they get the idea to write their own film, they visit an old abandoned asylum for inspiration and are frightened by noises they decide to leave but Peter accidentally runs over an kills the old caretaker so they decide to bury him and never speak of the incident. Meanwhile Brian begins wearing glasses to look more intelligent, much to Stewie's annoyance. The best scene in the episode is where Peter on edge after accidentally killing the caretaker hears Lois say "You and the guys killed a man?" only to be revealed that's the title of a book she's reading, and she sings along a John Cougar Mellencamp song that summarizes what happened that night. All in all this a great episode I certainly recommend this episode to any Family Guy fan.

Boring unfunny episode.

Like the idea of thinking up horror stories, but this just fell flat. I don't think I laughed at all. Maybe a smile here and there. Seemed like they should have been able to do more with this premise. And not sure what the purpose of Brian wearing glasses was for. Could have just spent the whole episode on Peter and the gang

I'm very very confused as my fiancé and I both have seen this episode to the point where we were talking about what was coming next, at least, last year I think? How is this being labeled as a new episode when it's not at all? Is there another episode in which the guys were missing from it or something that we're recalling instead? because this is both frustrating and kind of odd, if anyone knows the name of the episode we're remembering please comment it, it would be much appreciated! We even stopped watching when we neared the end because we knew everything that was coming next, Semi-spoiler ahead> the meg in the shower joke, and the letter joke with the kid where it's like "we'll pass your gross request on to Mila etc.
