- A man dies while fleeing for his life, sucking Harry and Suri into a case involving blackmail, theft, false identities and wealthy foreign students. What initially appears to be a simple scam turns out to be connected to Golding.
- Suri and Harry interview Anton, a dying man who tells them he was fleeing from Golding, the man who was involved in the deaths of Eve's mother and Kevin Grey. They discover that Anton, real name Tony. and his partner Jed befriended wealthy foreign students and then stole their credit cards. With Jed also dead Harry sees a link with Russian student Sasha Terekhova, suspecting that her father hired Golding to kill the boys but Sasha is not forthcoming and afterwards Harry and Suri survive another attempt on their lives in which Suri is injured. Meanwhile Winter begins to suspect that Frierson may be corrupt and refuses to sack Harry, leading Frierson to approach the envious Orwell. Anna tells Harry of her discovery but he warns her not to get involved, especially as she is now dating prison governor Julian.—don @ minifie-1
- A half-naked man with bruises is on a bridge crying for help and causing a traffic jam. When the police officers come, they use the taser to stop the man, but he burns out since he is soaked with gasoline. Harry and Suri go to the hospital, he says Golding and dies. Harry finds a partially burnt credit card, and he finds the owner, the wealthy student Indira Kamal. They head to her apartment and finds Indira with her boyfriend Jed Hartley, who identifies the victim as the Swedish student Anton. They go to Anton's apartment and soon they learn that Jed and him are tricksters that lure wealthy students. Harry finds a watch with an inscription to the Russian student Sasha from Golding.
