Possibly the most gripping episode of the series.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode of this very interesting and always exciting comic book style British series really sees its plot points picked here as there is not only the mysterious bracelet that Harry is wearing to think about but this weeks side story plus more set ups towards the end of this first series, this week was a real cracker.

With Suri(Amara Karen)telling Harry(James Nesbitt)that the boss is trying to bring him down they also have to investigate the case of a teenager's mutilated body found in a car park that will soon be demolished. Its later found out he among others are being targeted for illegal organ trade which may also involve the deputy mayor who also may have something to do with Harry's strange friend's mothers murder.

With this in mind Suri decides to go undercover at the clinic they believe these organ snatching is occurring to try to trap a doctor called Marghai who may be performing the operations and Harry has to rescue her after she is nearly operated on which leads to Harry kidnapping Marghai to see if he talks.

Whilst this goes on Harry's estranged wife Anna(Eve Best)gets involved in the case of Kevin Grey who was murdered in prison supposedly by the same man Eve(Sienna Guillory)thinks killed her mother named Golding.

This is one episode you must pay attention to as part of it is about Harry and the mystery bracelet he wears and the other part about the organ snatching plus the side story with Anna at the prison and watched right its a superb and gripping watch.

Again the acting is top draw with Nesbitt leading the great British cast and as ever he is a charming and very funny character who i'm glad is playing Harry as no one else would be right and again his bracelet gets him out of more scrapes.Karen is a perfect sidekick to Harry as Suri and leads some of this weeks story and when her organ is nearly snatched too it kept me gripped and is by far the best scene of this weeks episode. The rest including Best as Harry's wife Anna are excellent and she is getting more involved now setting up big moments from her in the last few episodes.

As I said before the moments in the clinic are brilliant and feels like a mini horror film as Suri turns into a scream queen as the mad doctor and his associates try and knock her out to remove her organs and its Harry to the rescue. The episode too is very dark at the beginning as we see rats gnawing at the dead body of the unlucky teenager plus the pieces of the puzzle involving Harry's bracelet, the mysterious Golding who is pulling peoples strings and Harry's battle with his own demons which includes the force trying to bring him down are all explored more.

The slight campy moments seen near the start of the series have near enough gone and this episode might be the best yet with a couple of great moments especially with Suri in the clinic as well as top notch acting by all, some emotion involving the organ victims families and the set up to more to come involving the supernatural type bracelet and the mysterious Golding, just who is this mystery figure.

The Kidney Transplantation
claudio_carvalho23 May 2023
On the Eve of the implosion of a building, the foreman finds rats eating a mutilated corpse. In the autopsy, the coroner discovers that the victim is the teenager Luke Bangura and one kidney of the man is missing. The mayor's office leaks fake new to the press, connecting the death to African rituals, but Harry and Suri investigate an NGO that may be related to kidney transplant for wealthy and powerful people. Luke had a rare type of blood and the former police officer Frierson, who is candidate to Mayor, become the prime suspect of Harry and Suri.

"A Twist of Fate" is a reasonable episode of "Lucky Man", with an intriguing storyline. However, the lack of punishment to the responsible for the death of Luke disappoints the viewer. It is also weird the police officers of UK not using weapons. It seems to be hypocrisy from these nations. My vote is seven.
