Slow Creep: Seriously, why?
Platypuschow26 April 2023
Plot

Fifteen-year-old Otter is excited that she's finally found the horror film she's been seeking for weeks. She brings it home to watch with her brother and his friend, not realizing that she's doomed them to an encounter with the Slow Creep.

Cast

100% unfamiliar with all involved

Verdict

Slow Creep. So supposedly it's a method some men use to hit on women, an urban slang I'm not familiar with though has absolutely nothing to do with this garbage.

Story? Not exactly. We just see a group of friends rent out a movie despite being told that the "Slow creep" will get them because the movie is haunted, or something. The creature appears, kills folks off and that's basically it.

The filter used is ugly, the music that kicks in when the creature appears is headache inducing and the kills are really poor.

I don't know what they were going for here but it's a hard fail.

Breakdown
  • Weak creature
  • Poor cast
  • Awful cinematography
  • Finale is bafflingly dumb

Rants

And then there is the worst part. So after the creature kills his last victim everything goes dark suddenly the cast and others reappear in new outfits and start singing and dancing, yeah, I know. It's like they all die and it transitions into a dreadful embarassing music video for absolutely no reason. It's so very bizarre and equally moronic, were they high when they made this? What were they thinking?

from teenagers to a demon

Teenagers and a demon. A horror movie as starting story. And the dance of the end saving everything. Short, a dark comedy, using all the cliches in not so bad manner. A decent horror comedy and the old recipe of genre used with charm.
