This movie is amazing. I've watched it 9 times now, I think, with friends and family, and we laugh again every time we see it. This movie is the pure definition of comedy. After watching it, I guarantee you will be referencing it often. I spent most of this movie laughing my ass off, and a little bit of it crying. Just the concept itself is hilarious, the voice acting is amazing and the handwork is glorious. The characters are all so well built it's impossible not to get attached. There are many movies you just forget a few days after watching, but this one you will remember for a long long time. As a summary, this is a must watch. Definitely the best movie of all time.

One of my favorite films

Don't let my rating fool you; I love this movie. I always try to rate films as objectively as possible, and objectively, Detective Heart of America isn't a perfect story or a visual masterpiece. But, that isn't to say it isn't unique and hilarious, because it certainly is. I love this movie, I have a signed copy of it on my bookshelf right now. There is a special place in my heart for Jason Steele's goofy brand of off-beat, meandering dialogue and irreverent, absurd humor. As well, inanimate objects are highly underrated as comedic characters, and we need far more films that heavily feature them. I hope that we get to see more one day.
A movie like no other

This movie is just a joy to watch. It has a very specific kind of dry humor that fans of the Filmcow youtube channel will be familiar with and had me snickering from beginning to end. They used inanimate objects to play most characters in the movie and this combined with the low budget only made it funnier.
So yeah, the movie is really funny and that's obviously the most important thing for a comedy. The really cool thing about this movie though is something that I've only started to appreciate with repeated viewings. It has a surprisingly deep story and there are some interesting sci-fi elements. It's definitely not the focus of the movie, but when you pay attention to all the plot points there is a great story there about the meaning of true freedom.
The movie is available for free on youtube at the moment so the only thing you have to spend to watch it is time. That's why I cannot recommend it enough if you're just in the mood to watch a weird but really funny comedy. It's great to watch with friends too!

My only regret was not skipping more school and watching more Detective Heart of America: the Final Freedom. I have seen this movie at least 15 times and each time I notice something new that gives me a greater appreciation for the film. This is the funniest movie I have quite possibly ever seen. The only movie I have seen near as many times to this one is Probabaly "the benchwarmers" me and my friends used to watch that whenever we couldn't figure out what to watch. We know all the best lines and this movie while being completely different in production, tone, and plot, give me a similar 'sit down with friends' experience. 10/10.
