I am absolutely unclear why this show has such high ratings. The subject matter of the show is definitely interesting, but the music they use is absolute trash - I mean it's distracting to a point that it interferes with the experience of watching the show itself. There is absolutely NO NEED to play music with lyrics in a show like this where there is almost constant talking...let alone songs with English rather than Italian lyrics, that sounds like something that should be strategically placed in a romantic comedy designed for tweens and teens. No, I don't want to hear a woman with some little baby voice say "lalala love is love" or "yeah yeah yeah" over and over in a scene about making traditional Italian cookies.
