It wasn't that bad.

I watched this after seeing it advertised on Imdbtv. I watched this because it looked promising, and thought perhaps it's one of those sleeper films, but alas, it was not. I watched this and I don't feel I lost a precious part of my life in doing so, and there really were some funny parts in it esp. with the blind girl. (Pay attention to her and what she does and says.) I watched this because I like murder mysteries, and I thought I had it all figured out except I didn't.

The real reason I watched this though, is because I love potatoes.

Now that I'm done watching it, I like it more and more.

Utter Crap

You could have filmed a better movie WITH a potato! The plot was awful. The acting was even worse. I've been better actors in Zoloft Commericals. Which I felt like I needed after attempting to watch this turd. 7.2? I guess the whole cast had to make up accounts to vote. There is no way 23 people voted this movie so high, heck, there is no way 23 people saw this movie. The only true tragedy would be if the director of this got his hands on another camera.

Unwatchable

I just had a WTF look on my face the entire time. Each character is functionally and idiot and annoying, which I guess was supposed to pass for funny. I hope everyone was high when making this. There's nothing clever or funny, and the twist is pretty stupid.

Brilliant low budget flick.

I came across this on Amazon Prime and loved it. The actors all give a very entertaining performance and if you're up for a film with a bit of a twist I'd recommend it.

Good Directorial Debut
yoninahthecat26 June 2020
The initial scene had me cringing - the main actor is delivering a speech in a pretty terrible Irish accent. Thankfully, it was meant not to be taken seriously and the film got going very quickly.

The characters are a delight - they very quickly display their wackiness and continue doing so throughout the film. My one criticism is that diction is a bit of a problem at certain points - which would be acceptable had the subtitles been in-sync with the delivery! So, that's frustrating.

Also that the overall volume is varied as if consistent sound level hadn't been achieved.

As an introduction to a new Director, it was encouraging. There are no mind-blowingly new camera angles or staggeringly inventive shots - but the script doesn't demand it as it's a straightforward Farce and works well.

However, the Director's inclusion of the running 'blind girl joke' in the background within the dialogue that's at the forefront of the scene has been managed well. It's one of the funniest in-jokes throughout the film.

It's also good that the Director hasn't tried to spin out the length but has kept it intense and short - which works perfectly.

The film had me laughing - and the querkiness of the screenplay is superb.

All in all, a very good Directorial debut - and, as he also wrote the script, I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Excellent indie by first timer Cameron Covell

Warning: Spoilers
In response to the reviewer "1/10 Utter crap", I will state that I don't know anyone who had anything to do with this movie.

That said, I throughly enjoyed this. It had more than a few laughs which is a refreshing feeling, as most "funny" movies usually aren't that funny.

And Blind Gertrude aka Regina (Allison Andreas) stole the show. She was hilarious. And the rest of the group held their own. The plot was nothing new, but it rarely is nowadays, but it was passable. As a first time movie, that pushed it from a 9 to a 10. Keep them coming Mr. Covell.

Will this win an Oscar? NO Will it give you a bunch of laughs? YOU BETCHA

MUST HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR TO WATCH.

Well clearly the other person that wrote a review of this movie is a tight wad with no sense of humor and a set of high hopes. My fiancé and I enjoyed it and laughed a good deal. Don't expect anything "Hollywood" about this movie. But as for it being a low budget film it truly was entertaining.

Cute and Funny

If you have a sense of humor and don't mind indie movies then you'll probably get a kick out of this. We laughed multiple times and yes, we were able to guess the plot, but we really enjoyed the movie.

Before the night is over someone will be au gratin.
Bernie444427 August 2023
Cooper (Tim Wagner) plans his own birthday party as a murder mystery in the style of Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None." But the focus is on the Irish potato famine and each person comes as an Irish character.

When the light s goes out someone is sure to die. Pay attention to the dialog and you may have a "Clue."

I was surprised to find the potatoes innocent in themselves; unlike tomatoes or donuts, they were used as a prop and were mostly wooden actors.

As each victim is creamed, we wonder if the last person alive is the culprit? And who planned this party anyway?

Before we go too far with this review, we need to nip it in the spud.
