*Fourth Wall Break* During the birthday dinner, the family brings in the cake and starts to sing "Happy Birthday", but Henry stops them, telling them that they can't sing it because of the copyright claim. In fact, only months before the original air date, a Federal Judge ruled that the copyright lapsed and fell into the public domain. By air date, the case was still pending with potential appeals. The writers worked it into the story line to illustrate a point in the story, but it was humorous to stop it in the story, but really stop it for the television production.
Anthony Edward's character of Owen Cairo shows up to the drop off point wearing almost the exact same attire as Steve McQueen as Bullitt wore during the famous car chase: Brown suede shoes (albeit not chukka style like Bullitt's), dark trousers, very dark blue or black turtleneck with a tweed blazer.
Last appearance of James Lesure as Erin's investigator, Alex McBride.
A rarity in the "Blue Bloods" series, this story is more humorous than dramatic.
In this episode, they celebrate Erin's 40th birthday. This was aired in 2015, and at that time the actress portraying Erin, Bridget Moynahan, was actually 44 - she was born 4/28/1971.
