Rexurrection

The first part of this story was fun but this second part of this story is better. It has some heart and soul and adds to the characters as they react differently to the situation.

Plenty of enjoyable action and some nice touches of dialogue.

My rating: 8/10.

Excellent!

Warning: Spoilers
I thought this was super good! The sand storm plot was legitimately tense and I continued the like the trust issues stuff between Kanan and the clones. Seeing all three of the clones fight against the Empire, fighting dirty and up close and personal? I loved that so much.

Also... Ahsoka and Rex reunion? Someone pas the tissues please.

Relics of the Old Republic

As a companion piece to the previous episode, this was a fine episode. These two episodes belong together, and I think that they both benefit from having each other. This episode made me accept the Imperial side of the last episode, but it also made me care less about the big sequence with the underwater beast as they got rid of it extremely quickly in this episode. However, I loved the sandstorm sequence, and how Kanan had to learn to work with clones again, as it is still hard for him to trust them after what happened during the war. The clones proved why they are still the best military the galaxy has ever seen, and I really hoped that they would stay, and I'm so freaking happy that they did. The introduction of a new antagonist is also interesting. I thought the Inquisitors were done after the last one, but it could be fun to see what this new one could bring to the table. The last one was quite brutal, so who knows? This was a very good episode, and if the rest of this season is anything like what we've seen so far, this is going to be one hell of a great season and I can't wait to experience it.

Reunion...

Warning: Spoilers
Ashoka and Rex reuniting. Amongst the top scenes in all of Star Wars. If you've religiously been working your way through all this from Phantom Menace, then there was so much that had to happen to make this possible. But this is up there. Ashoka coming back to Squadron 99 in the end of Clone Wars was a special moment. When they buried the dead squadron 99 and Vader came to the spot and saw the helmets.

Such good writing.

Clone troopers never give up Warning: Spoilers
This was such a good episode to watch. Seeing the old clone wars battle tank versus the AT-ATs was amazing, and the Ghost crew working together with Rex's team was very well done, even with Kanan's distrust in clones.

For someone like me, that watched every clone wars episode, seeing this episode gave me goosebumps, the squad operating the tank, the tension, Rex being Rex, it was so good. It was like seeing Clone Wars meeting the Empire, a clash of worlds.

The best part was when the Phantom came back to help the clones, hijacking the AT-AT, made me yell "FOR THE REPUBLIC!" in my couch, such a thrilling feeling.

Trust issues
Fluke_Skywalker7 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Plot; With the Empire closing in, Kanan must set aside his distrust of Clones if he and his team are to survive.

Continues the story from the previous episode, but is much stronger overall. Kanan's trust issues re: the Clones are certainly valid, but they're played with an increasingly annoying petulance. There's finally some nice (if totally unsurprising) payoff, but this arc could've been far more impactful had they not made Kanan seem so whiny.

The action here is solid, and I particularly liked the various musical callbacks to the Hoth battle from The Empire Strikes Back when the AT-ATs appear.
