Blake Shelton is feeling inspired.
The “I’ll Name the Dogs” singer opens up to Et about his “happy” new album, Texoma Shore, and how he managed to catch his entire team by surprise with its quick turnaround.
“I had no plans of putting out an album this year at all,” says Shelton, whose last full length was released in May of 2016. “I planned on still being in the middle of releasing music off If I’m Honest, and that was the plan. That was the label’s plan and the manager’s plan, and I called one day and said, ‘Hey guys, when this current single runs its course, screw it. Let’s come out with a new album.'"
Shelton admits that it’s a far cry from his usual process, which often requires a nudge from his team to get back to work in the studio.

Isabelle Huppert excels at playing tough, individualistic women, but she can just as easily dial it down for more fragile performances, so it was only a matter of time before she landed a role that let her have it both ways. In Serge Bozon’s peculiar comedy “Mrs. Hyde,” she’s a beleaguered French schoolteacher who gets struck by lightning and taps into the much more powerful, vindictive side of her personality lurking beneath the surface.
It’s a fascinating role in an uneven but frequently insightful movie riddled with amusing asides and enigmatic developments, partly because Huppert doesn’t undergo a radical transformation. Instead, she subtly finds herself at war with her inner confidence, and it’s often hard to tell which side has the upper hand.

On Friday, a juvenile court judge in Massachusetts spent nearly 20 minutes explaining why he was about to find Michelle Carter guilty of involuntary manslaughter in her boyfriend’s suicide three years ago.
Judge Lawrence Moniz’s decision was not, as he explained, because of Carter’s behavior in the days before the death of her then-boyfriend, 18-year-old Conrad Roy III, when she was 17.
Carter and Roy exchanged numerous texts before his suicide which showed that, though she had told him to seek “professional help,” Carter also repeatedly went along with Roy’s suicidal planning and even encouraged it at times.

A psychiatrist testified on Monday that Michelle Carter, who stands accused of urging friend Conrad Roy to kill himself in 2014, was prescribed antidepressants that may have impeded her abilities to empathize with others and make sound decisions.
Appearing Monday on behalf of the defense in the involuntary manslaughter trial, Dr. Peter Breggin spoke about the effects of Celexa, a medication that treats depression and anxiety.
Breggin, who said he had examined Carter prior to taking the witness stand, told the court the 20-year-old was prescribed the medication in 2014, when she was 17 — not long before 18-year-old Conrad Roy III’s suicide.

In another search discovered on Roy’s laptop, an electronics forensic expert said Roy, 18, perused a website titled “easy, quick and painless ways to commit suicide.
