Phenomenal Fish Slap
GarrettRR9 March 2017
I truly don't understand the other reviewer's take on this music video, but to each their own I suppose. It's meant to be a fun, light-hearted adventure; mostly a fan service "movie" in which Eminem seems to simply be having fun playing himself in a fictional world that makes little sense.

Honestly, the fish slap scene makes this a 10/10 for me.

Eminem is Phenomenal

Warning: Spoilers
I say that the best music videos are ones that are short movies in themselves, and this is a true master class of that, Eminem not only delivers a powerhouse of a song, but he puts his acting skills to work as he appears as himself being hunted through an Asian city, with Cameos from Dr Dre and John Malkovitch, this Video has everything you'd want from Eminem, a great song, great acting and amazing action.

Nothing phenomenal about this one Warning: Spoilers
These seven minutes we have here are the music video for the Eminem song "Phenomenal" from last year. The director is experienced music video maker Rich Lee. But after having seen some of Eminem's more recent stuff, I must say it seems like his star has faded. Here he is in Asia, waking up in a hospital, beating up a few guys, meeting John Malkovich (in a carriage), then hijacking a car before he ends up in a helicopter, falls out of it and then arrives in time at his concert to give a great performance. The cameos by Malkovich and Dr. Dre were fun, but as a whole this music video is a great example of style over substance and it's honestly something I would expect from those people that Eminem used to criticize so harshly during his most famous days. I was disappointed here. really only worth checking out for huge John Malkovich fans.
