This is a "Paper Bag", the 3.5-minute music video for the Fiona Apple song of the same name. And fittingly, Apple dances through the scenery for the entire film. The director is once again Paul Thomas Anderson, Apples boyfriend at this time, and already a truly famous filmmaker and Oscar nominee, although probably not half as famous as today. The music video has a nice retro/vintage touch to it, but this is everything positive I can say I am afraid. There is no interesting action in there and the song is not really catchy, fairly forgettable in my opinion. Apple has done better on several occasions and, very obviously, Anderson has as well. Not a great music video. Generic stuff for 2000. Not recommended.
