Gravity of the situation.

This is great fun!

This episode is exactly what every 'filler' episode should be - a terrific, enjoyable, action packed story with good, sensible humour instead of flimsy episodes with silly comedy.

Rex shines and brings back the warmth we have for him from Clone Wars, Kanan has good banter with him instead of annoying aggravation from earlier episodes and finally acts less immaturely towards the end becoming the hero he should be.

Ezra also gets a great episode and Chopper is good too.

The enemy weapon is suitably fearsome and the story is great fun with plenty of heart.

Love it.

My rating: 8.5/10.

A return to form

Plot; When Ezra and Commander Sato are captured by the Empire using their new gravity well weapon, Kanan and Rex disguise themselves as Stormtroopers and attempt a rescue.

To this point S1 of Rebels has been, at best, uneven. None of the episodes have been particularly bad, but neither have the reached the heights of the best of S1. Enter: "Stealth Strike". This represents the series firing on all cylinders. All of the shade Kanan has been throwing at Rex now finally pays off as the two bond and see the best in one another. I sense a potential bromance developing. It's an episode that delivers humor, heart and heart pounding action in equal measure, all the while feeling very much like Star Wars. Like literally Star Wars: A New Hope. Rebels captured aboard a super weapon, disguised as Stormtroopers, skulking about. But that's far from a complaint. I really enjoyed this episode and I hope it's a sign that S2 is starting to hit its stride.

haha! Loved it.

I found myself hitting the 10-second rewind button a lot during this episode. Slapstick in Star Wars often makes me roll my eyes but I thought it was done beautifully here. Lots of chuckling with the dialog too. I watched the big kaboom at the end a few times too!

One of the best Rebels episodes

Probably one of the most underrated episodes of Rebels. Pure fun, great action, and at its heart - as with every episode of the show - are the characters and their evolving relationships. It's heartwarming to see Rex and Kanan overcome their differences, quit bickering and become good friends and loyal comrades -this development plays out very naturally across the course of the mission. On top of that the Rebels team brought in a great ship design from star wars legends for the interdictor cruiser, and all the sound effects for it are really cool. What's not to love? Stealth Strike is a classic.

Stealth Strike

Warning: Spoilers
Soooo yeah it's pretty similar to the a few other Star Wars projects we've seen. It's yet another rescue mission where the good guys dress up like bad guys and sneak in to enemy territory. I do not know why people writing Star Wars keep revisiting this... and I don't know why it's always just as fun and entertaining and the last time.

Kanan and Rex's bickering and eventual understanding and bonding was what really made this episode for me. That was handled really well, and I love that Rex is now this old geezer who makes jokes and teases his crew mates. That works so well.

Chopper is also a mass murderer now... didn't see that coming... God I love that droid.

Ezra getting a few great moments so kick some butt was really welcoming. He's definitely growing as a Jedi.

Anyway, great episode. The pacing and action was almost nonstop and the writers even managed to get some decent character work in there. This feels like Star Wars.

Stealth Strike

Again, a nice episode that featured a lot of good character development. The dynamic between Kanan and Rex has been a little disruptive from the beginning, but this was the first time we started to see them work as a team, and that really brought me back to the good old "Clone Wars" days. I liked seeing them side-by-side, and even though I did think that this could be Rex's final stand, I was happy to see him continue on in the series. I did have a lot of respect for Ezra this episode, which was filled with characters that kept doubting him, which became a little tiresome after a while, but it was awesome to see him finally shut them all off, because we know how cool he actually is. There is a lot of potential for this series, but I do hope that they get into the storyline again soon. It has been some time since we really had an episode that felt like it had any impact on the overall narrative, and I do wish that they would get into that again soon. It's hard with this many episodes, which is why I don't understand why they added more, but they did, and I hope they will be able to stick the landing.

Killing an entire ship makes them cheer?

Warning: Spoilers
Although I liked that Rex and Kanan joined forces, I think the episode consists of nothing but stupid writing. They eliminate the entire ship with probably thousands of human beings who indeed serve the military but they were enlisted without a choice.

And all they have got as a reaction is to be jubilant about this? Dude, they all lack conscience. The producers must have thought about this and they ignore it? It doesn't make the show darker but the protagonist unsympathetic. In general, every encounter with stormtroopers bore me.

Not a fan of some of the new writers this season
WilliamtheAdequate4 January 2016
Every time I see an episode of this show written by Matt Michnovetz I think to myself that as a kid he was probably the one on the playground that was always coming up with outrageous things that sound cool, but don't make any sense. If I see a landspeeder flying through space, or an AT-AT that flies, I can be pretty sure I know he came up with the idea, because each time I've watched one of these where I end up rolling my eyes at the writing or "twist" I usually know it's him. I hope we see more by Henry Gilroy and Greg Weisman - they got this show off to a good start, and I hope they can continue to provide scripts in the future.
