The screenplay originally started with this beginning note: In 1952, MAD Magazine was born. Though the original title was 'Tales Calculated to Drive You Mad'. I've read a few of these and noticed the name, 'Melvin' was used wherever they could stick it. This was of course before 'Alfred E. Neuman' became its popular icon that we know of today. It's occurred to me to make my own homage to 'Melvin'. So my plans are to stick him in this film, wherever I can.
