Trouble Over Ryloth
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic13 October 2020
Ryloth featured in a number of Clone Wars episodes and is the home planet of Hera. In this story she returns home to help her estranged father who is the leader. He wants to destroy an Imperial cruiser while Hera wants to steal it.

The drama and action are good. The dialogue and story is solid and the episode overall is decent.

My rating: 7.5/10.

A decent homecoming
Trey_Trebuchet25 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Certainly not one of the best episodes in the season, but it's really not that bad. Seeing Cham again, and to learn Hera is his daughter, made a very interesting dynamic. Their argument scene is one of the best Hera moments in the show and one of the best in the show at all probably. Good lord... I just love her so much.

It is definitely a bit fillery, but Hera makes it worth watching along with some great Jedi moments with Kanan and Ezra. I'm enjoying this show a lot.

Ezra/Kannan sole hightlight of otherwise dull episode
Fluke_Skywalker16 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Plot; The Ghost crew travel to Rylos to recruit Herra's father for a mission to steal an Imperial ship.

I was glad to see Hera--a too often ignored character--get some focus here, but once again it's wasted on an extremely mediocre and unambitious story.

The strife between Hera and her father runs thimble deep and never resonates, robbing the story of its dramatic backbone. Only some fun Jedi teamwork between Kannan and Ezra and a few amusing bits of hero worship by the former serve to add any zest to this otherwise bland episode.

Homecoming

As a big admirerer of Cham Syndulla from the extended universe, I was excited to see what his presence to bring to the table in this episode. For the most part, this character didn't remotely remind me of the Cham that I read about and saw in the previous series. I found him to be extremely arrogant and more egotistical than he has been before, and I didn't necessarily like that. I thought the last act brought a redemption to his character, but not enough to safe the episode for me. I really loved Hera's arc, though. There were moments of true sorrow whenever she spoke with her father, and the fact that native accent came out when she was in a deep discussion with him. Most of the episode was unfortunately centered on a weird mission that I didn't necessarily care about, and didn't understand why the crew would care about, but as the plot orders them to, they obliged. I do hope that they'll get back on track soon, as I am starting to miss the more focused narrative of the series. I get that these are there to develop the characters, and that is fine, but I do really miss the story at this point, so here's hoping that we get back to that soon.

INteresting Voice break of characer but thats all
DuskShadow15 April 2017
FRom about 5 min and 40 seconds till about 6 minutes into the episode, the voice actress for the female lead character, Sabine, changes the sound of her voice, whether intentionally or not, gaining a somewhat French accent. Interestingly enough this could be due to the fact that the voice actress in question, TIya Sicar, speaks a few languages, one of which is French.

THe whole episode just follows the trend for much of the second season to delve deeper into the pasts of the shows main characters , and its okay. The plot...she thickens :P
