Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • The episode begins with a cold open where Kanan and Ezra are fighting a losing battle against the Inquisitors Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother. It is an intense battle and includes a sequence where Ezra and Kanan almost fall to their deaths.
  • The middle of the episode cuts back and forth between Ezra and Ahsoka's sedate (relatively) visions and a firece but bloodless duel between Kanan and an illusory Temple Guard. The climax comes when Kanan decides to no longer fight. We see the Guard raise his lightsaber as if he is about to kill the kneeling and defenseless Kanan, but he merely knights Kanan as a full Jedi instead.
  • There are brief shots of the Clone Wars, including Clone troopers firing their weapons shown during Ezra's vision of Yoda.
  • The Inquisitors show up again in the third act, and face off against a group of illusory Temple guards, who completely surround the duo and set upon them with their lightsabers, with all of them (guards and Inquisitors) disappearing in a flash of white light just as the Inquisitors would have been impaled on numerous sabers. The Inquisitors reappear at the very end of the episode completely unharmed.
  • Kana, Ezra and Ahsoka are shown to be in genuine peril as the Jedi Temple collapses around them due to the Inquisitors' meddling.

Profanity

  • Absolutely none. Not even the in-universe profanity "Karabast."

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • As mentioned above, the three set-piece battles in the episode are very intense, and there is a brief moment where it appears Kanan will be killed in cold blood. This sequence bears special attention:
  • The Guard (who is later revealed to be the Grand Inquisitor from Season 1) declares that Ezra will fall to the Dark Side and must be killed to prevent this from happening. This dovetails with Ezra's concurrent dialogue with Yoda, where it is becomes increasingly clear that Ezra is coming into contact with the Dark Side, a prospect which may give younger children (as Ezra is the audience surrogate for younger viewers) some concern. Kanan vows to prevent Ezra dying and enters into a duel with the Guard and two other Guards, one that continues until Kanan finally decides NOT to fight but to instead try to train Ezra as best he can. At that moment, he kneels and lays down the sabers he had been wielding. The Guard raises his saber up as if to kill Kanan, before very gently touching the saber's blade to Kanan's shoulders and head as a knighting ceremony.
  • Ahsoka's vision is the most directly unsettling of the three, with Anakin's anguished pleading of Ahsoka, and her screams of fright and anguish upon learning that Anakin became Vader.
