The Alisa Jones character continues to be boring, but at least they gave us a cliffhanger here and something to look forward to next time. The Malcolm and Trish stuff was not much better though. I don't want both of them on the super supplement because that will essentially make everyone on the show a hero. That's not what JJ needs right now.

Everyone Is Getting Hyped

As Jessica begins to get used to her mother, there is great tension. Sometimes Jessica is so moral when she has no right to judge. She is certainly a victim like her mother. Also, the inhaler is being passed around and it is going to present consequences. There is a real question at the end of this episode to resolve. Jeri is getting really excited about an encounter with a prisoner.

Moving along nicely

Janet McTeer continues to be the most valuable presence in this season and runs rings around the rest of the cast. A good mix of plot and character work here to keep this one moving along nicely and it's a real upgrade over the first season at this point.

Night shots are too dark

I love this series, but some of the dark/night shots are so dark you can't see what's happening at all. During key scenes it might as well be an audio book. Cinematographers need to find a balance between their shots being dark and moody in an artistic way for a purpose, but with enough light that viewers can at least make out what's happening on screen vs the shots being so dark the scenes are completely unwatchable.
