- Clayton Danvers: [as Elena takes a drink with shaking hands] He must have really rattled you. What did you do with the body?
- Elena Michaels: [with a sigh] I had help.
- [swallows]
- Elena Michaels: From another Wolf.
- Clayton Danvers: Who?
- Elena Michaels: [long pause as she looks down] He said he was my father.
- Clayton Danvers: What?
- Elena Michaels: I know. Sasha Antonov. Never even heard of him. Said I was born in Russia.
- Clayton Danvers: That's crazy.
- Elena Michaels: He had his kids with him too. Alexei and Katia. And none of them are on our lists.
- Clayton Danvers: He had his daughter with him?
- Elena Michaels: She knows what we are, Clay.
- Bucky Durst: [big and burly, with obvious intentions] Front room is secure, but...
- [sighs]
- Bucky Durst: there's a lot of entrance points.
- Elena Michaels: [she is chopping carrots, and if she didn't have that knife...] We can handle it. We've done it before.
- Bucky Durst: So I heard.
- [sighs]
- Bucky Durst: Not something you really wanna keep doing, though. Defending the fort.
- Elena Michaels: [on her guard] It's the world we live in.
- Bucky Durst: [locks the back door, checks that it's secure] Yeah, that's a shame, Miss. Must be hardest on you.
- Elena Michaels: How's that?
- Bucky Durst: You being a woman and all. You're like a desert flower, you are.
- [advances]
- Bucky Durst: A little thing of beauty in a dry... cracked landscape.
- Elena Michaels: [toying with her knife, grinning] Bucky, is it? Maybe you should save the poetry. Go stand by the front door, keep your eyes pointed at what might be coming, huh?
- Bucky Durst: [sighs, takes out his own knife] I'll do that.
- [drives the blade into the table-top]
- Bucky Durst: You take care, Miss. This world we live in is hardest on the pretty little things.
- [speared a bit of sliced carrot, munches on it, saunters off]
- Clayton Danvers: Don't do this. Don't question your whole life because of this guy. It's probably what he wants.
- Elena Michaels: [sighs] But what is my life? All these... things... my memories, just... bits and pieces.
- Clayton Danvers: It doesn't mean what he says is true. You're still who you are, you're still here with me.
- Elena Michaels: [sighs] But it's... it's my history. I need to know it. I... I want to understand it.
- Clayton Danvers: A long-lost father. A whole family you knew nothing about. Do you want it to be true? I understand what you're feeling. I can see it, even if you won't admit it to yourself.
- Elena Michaels: What am I feeling?
- Clayton Danvers: Hope.
