Sex & Nudity

  • Many characters wear revealing clothing, notably female characters. The camera occasionally focuses on these aspects.
  • Camilla's breasts are shown up close a lot in cutscenes.
  • Raider weapons strip the enemy with weapon triangle advantage. The enemy will fight in their underwear upon being hit by one.
  • This is the first Fire Emblem game to feature same-sex marriage even in the English version.
  • This game was also controversial for the English censorship with the petting mini game removed and having some of the sexual content removed.

Violence & Gore

  • There is fighting with swords, axes, spears, bow and arrows and magic spells in the turn based game. The characters fight until one of the characters loses all their HPs and then they get killed.

Profanity

  • Mild swearing includes the word "Dammit" used in the game.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The original Japanese version had a scene involving a character getting drugged which was removed in the English version.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are several instances of demonic possession on all three routes.
  • There is a jumpscare of Hans during the story scene after completing chapter 13 of Conquest. It's brief and there's no loud audio, but it's very unsettling and disturbing to players.

Sex & Nudity

  • Even though they can marry each other and bear children together, the player character and Azura are maternal cousins. This is only explicitly stated on Revelations.

Violence & Gore

  • During the player character's fight with Xander in Birthright, Elise jumps between them to block Xander's attack. She gives her dying wish for them to stop fighting and end the war peacefully before succumbing to her injuries.
  • In Fire Emblem Birthright, if the player defeats Flora in chapter 17, there is a graphic suicide death cutscene where she will commit suicide by literally setting herself on fire and burn herself to death which may be disturbing and sensitive to viewers. It's unknown how it got rated T when there's a graphic violent suicide scene.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Several main characters die in the game.This is upsetting to some viewers.
  • Azura tries to exorcise the demon inside of Garon by singing to him, but on the Nohrian route, his reaction is intense. His eyes roll back into his head as he screams, looking similar to a seizure or heart attack.
  • In Birthright, it's shown that by singing, time gets shaved off of Azura's life. There is a disturbing cutscene where the curse's effects are shown and she collapses while screaming in agony.
  • Azura dies at the end of Birthright. The curse from singing overtakes her body, causing her to actually disintegrate. She tells the player to smile one last time for her as she fades from existence.
  • There's a scene in Chapter 17 in Birthright Story involving Flora committing suicide by setting herself on fire and getting burned to death, which may upset some sensitive viewers especially coming from a Nintendo 3DS game. It's unknown why it was rated T when it showed a graphic death suicide scene.
