My Porcelain Past (1992)
** (out of 4)
Ron Schildknecht directed this documentary that takes a look at the final day of a popular White Castle restaurant that was on Bardstown Road in Louisville, Kentucky.
I grew up in Louisville and my favorite place was always Bardstown Road so I was really looking forward to this documentary. This store was closed well before I ended up hitting the road but after viewing this film I doubt anyone will be overly entertained except for those who actually ate there or had some sort of connection to the place.
The documentary interviews many of the people who came in that last day for one last burger and we hear their stories about the place and their stories on why they're upset that it is closing. There's obviously nothing bad about this sixteen-minute movie but at the same time there's really not anything good either.
