Now that the Frankie-Nina relationship was woven into season 7, a typical episode has at least ten minutes of loud mouth Mom talking about herself, ten minutes of Frankie and Nina, and ten minutes of Jane and Maura. That leaves about ten minutes for detective work, at most.
I like this show, mostly because I fast-forward through every scene where Lorraine Bracco's mouth is moving, and Frankie too. That romance between Frankie and Nina is so fake. They have less than zero chemistry together. Nina looks uncomfortable talking to Frankie.
Sad that the writers make the Boston Police Department into an inbred family. Big Mouth Mom was screwing the Chief of Police, now Frankie is at it with Nina, and Jane was banging Martinez, the Chief Detective for the Narcotics division. Vince was always left taking care of stray dogs.
