Awesome...WTH?

Um....I have absolutely attempted to CRUCIFY Buck-Leming here before (and not without good reason - see 'Dark Dynasty' *shudder*), but this....this....

It was an absolute gem of a story.

The jokes were on target. The plot made sense. The establishing shots and scenes were often breathtaking. The lore fit....

The cynical part of me, taking in the sampling of past Buck-Leming disasters, wants to ask if they really, really wrote this.

The rational thinking part says this: if you guys keep writing like this, there are going to be some harsh critics being forced to re-think their opinions.

Absolutely on-target, awesome episode.

Amazing

Warning: Spoilers
This was just wonderful. No other words. In my opinion the best episode of Supernatural. Rowena's revival was nice and surprising, but still puts a tiny smear on what was a great and shocking death scene. Misha's portrayal of Lucifer was at the top this episode. Every line was perfect. Especially how he mocked Dean for shouting to Cass. The last scene - Amara torturing Cassifer was a great end, probably even more for me because I thought for a little that maybe she would just go all the way and kill him.

Brothers talk and 'Back to square one' wasn't quite as good because it seems that the next episode is going to be a filler. It is time that Supernatural skips to a 10 or 13 episode season excluding these fillers. It made sense in first few seasons, but now the arcs are complicated, large and quicker. The anti-climatic end was probably expected and might seems like a re-do, but it was still strong because it's Lucifer now that has - quoting Crowley here - NO CARDS in his hands.

A perfect episode!

Episodes like this is why this series has lasted so long. Funny, creative, great acting, good directing.

Misha Collins steals the show - his scenes as Lucifer/Cas are so good, I actually re-watched the episode a few times just for that. Deserves an Emmy, in my opinion.

Everyone is at their best here - Crowley, Amara, Rowena, Dean - they get the lines that allow them to show some personality, and the director makes sure all the nuances/expressions make it through editing unscathed.

Season 11 is over all very good - if you just discount those horrible filler-episodes with stupid or disgusting story lines (the only good filler this season was "Baby" - despite the head-chopping). The main story is very good, and all (so far) 6 episodes that are NOT FILLERS have been very good. But this one is the best.

Finally back on track

Warning: Spoilers
So far I am not very convinced by season 11, and after the annoying clichéd Nazi-BS episode 14 I thought rock bottom was finally hit, episode 15 didn't make it much better, 16 tried to win over sympathies by going back to old characters which was okay, 17 repeated the old brother fears for brother topic - not new but always effective, alright, but the real switch back to the light was episode 18: here we go again, a great funny, witty Crowley, a great Cassifer, Rowena - who you do not want to like but cannot help it because she is too mesmerizing - and the brothers back on track, I hope the next episodes will be as good as this one again, then there is hope for season (11 and) 12.

Very good I put off watching this for years but after 14 seasons I figured what the hell. And glad I decided to watch it it's been way better than I thought it would be.

Cassifer is great everything else is ok

Has great Cassifer bits in heaven. Rowena is good too but her and Amara's thing is whatever. Crowley has his charm after a long time, he is best interactimg with the boys not the wall street type absolutely pathetic potrayal of demons. The whole trapping thing is fine.

oh dear

Some good aspects to this episode, Rowena for example and the brothers and the story line moves on a little but that is as long as you can get past the bad Misha Collins, the weird Lucifer faces he pulls , the unconvincing acting and Lucifer in heaven......

We have seen this before.

There's a couple of fun aspects of the episode-the opening scene as well as Collins as Lucifer. But in the end this is yet another filler episode built around a couple a McGuffin that ends up treading water. The season has started to really run out of steam by this point.
