This episode feels very basic for a season finale, its still a really good episode, over I think is the second least best finale after season 2 but only because season 2 final scene is the wrong way round but the end of season 7 and that cliffhanger was much better than the one in season 2.

Enzo tells Bonnie to focus on chasing him to let the others have some time. He ran out of gas and stopped at a cabin where he has prepared risotto. Bonnie comes and is overcome with the need to kill him. Caroline speaks with Alaric over the phone and they decide to have the girls siphon the spell Bonnie put on the Armory. Damon and Stefan go in. Alaric encourages Caroline to be with Stefan. He knew she never loved him. Damon is taking too long but he finally finds the coffin holding the body of the Everlasting and burns it. This saves Enzo because Bonnie no longer has the urge to kill him. Over the phone they hear Damon say Elena's name. He is lured into the vault by Elena's voice. Enzo goes into the vault to find Damon. Damon and Enzo manage to escape the vault and go on a killing spree. They hang their victims upside down.
