A highly underrated 40+ mins...Maybe criminally underrated amongst the fan base. We all know season 12 isn't one of the better overall seasons... I enjoy all the seasons but it's by far not one of the best seasons. Now there's a good amount of great episodes: this being one of them. But for those of you that don't know, it was inspired by Quentin Tarantino's style of film/Reservoir Dogs movie. It works to perfection with with this script. It completely stands on its own as another SPN unconventional classic. It's jam packed with: humor, suspense, creativity, amazing camera work with angles and editing, really Great character moments(Here's looking at you Castiel and Crowley), mystery/intrigue with twists and does a superb job in opening up and therefore closing new/old plot developments. The villain was intriguing. And the Tarantino style of directing gave it a sense of fast paced entertainment. Sometimes I wish SPN would dive into their own creativity even more than they do. They always seem to knock it out of the park with different styles or concepts of episodes. Anyways "Stuck in the Middle With You" is Consistently solid from the opening scene until the end credits. Honestly a 9 rating seems to be a little low, in my opinion. 9.5 is the perfect rating to me. It does just about everything perfectly. And Castiel's speech is an all timer in my mind. Gave me geekdom goosebumps.
