When bad guy's car is first shown going down the road, it's obviously a silver Chrysler 300. When it pulls into the gas station, it's a silver Dodge Charger. Subsequent scenes only include the Charger.
Helen wears a uniform with a badge for the town of Tivoli. However, there is no Tivoli police department. The town is instead policed by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office and Troop K of the New York State Police.
Helen is shown driving an older model Jeep emblazoned with the Sheriff logo. But the Dutchess County Sheriffs use modern SUVs and patrol cars.
The bus which Philip takes would be part of the Dutchess County Loop system, but it lacks the "Loop" logo and the blue and green color scheme of the Loop buses.
Helen works at a station apparently located in Tivoli. The Dutchess County Sheriffs are located i Poughkeepsie with substations in Beekman and Millerton.
When Helen goes to the one victim's apartment in Poughkeepsie we can see a train bridge in the background. However, the only railroad bridge in the city is the Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge which is considerably larger than the one depicted. Since 2009, the bridge has been a pedestrian walkway, with appropriate railings and flooring which are not visible in the shots of the bridge on the show.
Lukas's motorbike changes from a 2 stroke sound to a 4 stroke sound, but is still the same bike.
Tony says that the gas station is "the last place to piss for thirty miles". However, in reality, if the men were traveling north they would have encountered two more gas stations in Germantown, just a few miles up Route 9g. If they were traveling south they would have found multiple gas stations in Red Hook, the town bordering Tivoli.
After witnessing the murder, Philip heads to his mother in New York City. However, he apparently lacks access to a car and there would be no mass transit late at night going from Tivoli to New York City.
