A glorious clip. Lots of fun

"Walking to the sound of my favorite tune...". Indeed, "Morning Glory" is one of my favorite Oasis songs but I wasn't much familiar with the clip until recently. Cool idea, beautiful execution though it doesn't get near the greatness of classics such as "Wonderwall", "Stand by Me" and "All Around the World". But the band got their kicks, creating good moments and sounding louder than bombs.

It's not a rock n'roll video clip if you don't have the band performing, and that's almost a general rule with few exceptions when the artists decide to stay out of the clip or throw some animation to the mix. Getting back now. The band performs the song inside a small flat and in the meantime several neighbors appear to knock on their door, possibly to complain about the noise they're making with their instruments and also because the members of the band keep footballing in the small space. When the neighbors show up, going from a man carrying a baby to a senior citizen followed by two security guards, their perspective is mostly told through a magic eye door, that distort their strange angered faces while knocking the door.

Visually striking and nicely edited, Jake Scott's efforts were good, somewhat inspired but I think we needed a better conclusion to the scenario presented, just a little bit of chaos to follow the magnificent sound of devastation and power that song carries. 8/10 Beatles reference: none I could find.
