Too much suppostion to make this a great episode.

"Secrets of the Dead" is a mostly very good series from PBS. I say MOSTLY good because I think it has a weakness you see in some episodes....there is just way too much suppostion and speculation. Sometimes the show hedges its bets by using words like 'perhaps' or 'maybe' but often they just make logical jumps that are either ill-explained or are perhaps just crazy speculation. "Teotihuacán's Lost Kings" definitely has that problem at times...which is a shame, as just showing what archaeologists have found (without all the speculation) would have made the show worth seeing.

The show is about the famous Aztec city of Teotihuacán. Some researchers explore the tunnels and chambers underneath the city in the episode and unearth a few interesting things, such as jade from Guatemala. It's also interesting that some of the research was done using lasers to map the mines. But, as I mentioned above, the show is full of conjecture...especially at the end and it made the show less enjoyable and educational...at least for me.
