I have to say this is the most enjoyable and original short film I've seen for a long time. James Rolfe plays an actor who is besieged by horror movie situations in all of his waking moments of the day. Knives and mirrors and whirring cameras on tripods terrorize him off set. I found myself guiltily chuckling because this type of situation would be far from comic. It had never occurred to me before how an actor could well go through this type of thing. So is this type of being haunted by one's work exaggerated in this movie? Perhaps only an actor knows the answer to that question. There is some good sparse mysterioso music in parts of this which adds to the movie's haunted atmosphere. In one part the actor is stalked by a horror movie fan waiting for him to autograph a grisly object. James Rolfe is a serious horror movie fan himself as evidenced by his Extreme Nerdy mini documentaries about the genre. I did catch one some time ago and I can definitely say I shall be sampling more of his work in the future.
