In one scene, Fitz explains to Andy and Frank what an emordnilap is, a word or phrase similar to a palindrome that reads one thing forwards and something else backwards. The word "emordnilap" is itself an emordnilap; it is "palindrome" spelled backwards.
In real life, Jim Fitzgerald never met Ted Kaczynski in jail (pre-trial or otherwise). He attempted to at least once, but the day Fitzgerald drove to the prison to meet with him, Kaczynski changed his mind and said that he "was too busy to meet." Also, once this series was announced, Fitzgerald wrote to Kaczynski in jail to ask to meet and discuss to pass along information to use in the series "...to make sure we got all the facts straight right and I would like to come out and talk to you to present your side of the story." His letter was never answered.
Chris Noth (Don Ackerman) & Jeremy Bobb (Stan Cole) also worked together on episode 7.14, Monday (2016), of The Good Wife (2009), as Peter Florrick & Perry Dunst respectively.
