- Nothing graphic to speak of. Characters destroy robots, freeing animals trapped inside. Characters must avoid spikes, bombs, or projectiles, fire hazards etc. getting hit causes you to drop rings.

- The Updated Metal Sonic fight has him transform into a giant robot similar to his form in Knuckles Chaotix. This form may be somewhat scary to young children.
- The Secret final boss is pretty intense. Players transform into Super Sonic and have to defeat 2 bosses at once, in a black hole-esque dimension, while constantly collecting rings to maintain their Super form otherwise you'll lose a life. The phantoms ruby's power also makes it possible for the bosses to actually hurt Super Sonic.
