This has to be one if those episodes where you are not allowed to smile even once and if you are deeply involved can even make you cry even worse. I never cried after watching the an anime episode this was the first episode in which I started crying even before the episode reached its half runtime. This episode has the greatest credits rolls of all time in any anime. PERIOD
Im giving my review after completing s2 even though there is one episode which comes very close to this credit roll amd even surpasses it.

Re:ZERO up to this point has been a good show which I've been enjoying, but I wouldn't give it more than that, but what we got in this episode was not merely the best Re:ZERO episode so far but one of the greatest and most disturbing pieces of television I've ever seen. A big reason for why this episode is so great is its incredibly morbid tone which was executed perfectly, where you see the already stressed Subaru endure some of the most traumatic experiences anybody could go through; this along with the stunning voice acting (Especially from Subaru's VA), amazing animation and cinematography; and beautiful soundtrack make the disturbing nature of this episode even more believable, making for an emotional rollercoaster unlike anything else I've seen. Not only this but it has one of the best endings of any tv episode I've ever seen, leaving be staring at the credits in shock of what just occured before me, the OST "Reqiuem of Silence" complimenting the scene perfectly.
Overall, a flawless episode which leaves me very excited to see what else this show has to offer.
Perfect 10/10.

You know great entertainment can give you all sorts of feelings and what this episode gives you is dispair. It took me some days and some other episodes actually to see the light again. The direction of this Anime especially this episode is really something else.

If anyone's ever recommended Re:Zero to you, they probably told you to wait till the episode 15-18 stretch before judging the show. They are right, this episode in particular is absolutely insane, this is by far one of my favorite media experiences, far surpassing Breaking Bad's Ozymandias and AOT's Perfect Game. The directing, the emotions, the visuals, the psychological horror, the character development, the voice acting, the heartbreak, the soundtrack. Not a single slow moment in this entire jam-packed fantastic nightmare of an episode. And the ending, my god, the ending of the episode. That has got to be the most chilling, and unforgettable scene in anything I've watched.

Prepare to have your mind shattered and your emotions pushed to their very limits as Re:Zero Episode 15-The Outside of Madness takes you on an unforgettable journey of chaos, despair, and sheer brilliance. This episode, without a doubt, stands tall as one of the greatest achievements in anime storytelling. It combines breathtaking visuals, impeccable writing, and intense character development, delivering an experience that will leave you both emotionally drained and in awe of its sheer brilliance.
From the very first frame, The Outside of Madness grips you tightly and refuses to let go. The dark and eerie atmosphere envelopes the screen, effectively immersing you in Subaru Natsuki's tormented world. The stunning animation captures every emotion, every drop of sweat, and every tear shed by the characters, enhancing the intensity of their struggles and triumphs.
But it is the narrative itself that truly shines in this episode. Re:Zero has never shied away from exploring the depths of human suffering, and The Outside of Madness takes it to a whole new level. The psychological torment Subaru endures is not just physical-it cuts deep into the recesses of his mind, pushing him to the brink of madness. The storytelling twists and turns with such precision that you'll find yourself gasping for breath, trying to keep up with the mind-bending revelations.
The voice acting deserves special mention as well. Each performance resonates with raw emotion, lending depth and authenticity to the characters' struggles. From Subaru's desperate pleas to Rem's unwavering support, the voice actors breathe life into every line, intensifying the emotional impact of the story.
The Outside of Madness showcases the exceptional talent of the production team behind Re:Zero. The hauntingly beautiful soundtrack perfectly complements the unfolding events, enhancing the atmosphere of despair and uncertainty. The meticulous attention to detail, both in the animation and the intricate world-building, demonstrates a level of craftsmanship rarely seen in anime. (The credits near the end gave me goosebumps btw😆)
To call Re:Zero Episode 15-The Outside of Madness the best episode ever would not be an exaggeration. It pushes the boundaries of storytelling, provoking introspection and leaving a profound impact that resonates long after the credits roll. This episode is a testament to the power of anime as a medium for exploring the human condition, and it solidifies Re:Zero's rightful place among the anime elite. Brace yourself for an emotional rollercoaster like no other-The Outside of Madness is a masterpiece that deserves to be celebrated.

SOOOOOO Haunting

Warning: Spoilers
The first half of Re: Zero was pretty great but not on the level of this episode, not many times in a show will I just feel loss and hopelessness for, it's an immortals complex, dying over and over without any way out, doomed to relive lifetime after lifetime of the same nightmare.
This episode feels biblical with just how horrific it is. Starting from the end point of the horror movie level game over scene that made me go stiff, it goes to an even darker place that I honestly was shocked by. Rem going ragdoll on the floor, Subaru's face the entire episode, The feeling of absolute hopelessness. We we're all waiting for an episode like this one, but no one would have expected this much horror core shock from what was up until this point just a good anime. It's one of the best episodes of anime I've watched, even up there with That Day from AOT.

Warning: Spoilers
I have watched a lot of Isekai, they usually have overpowered know it all characters whose problems are solved by coming to the new world.
But not Re Zero, Subaru's flaws follow him and haunt him. As Petelgeuse horrifically puts it, "why do you pretend your mind is broken... acting so cleverly as if seeking sympathy for your situation", Subaru went through a traumatic experience and chose to give up, to get some rest, but NO, Petelgeuse destroys everything, kills Rem and blames Subaru, because he did nothing in his shocked state, he practiced sloth, thus the girl is dead.
I have to admit, I love ReZero as a whole but this episode left a hole in my heart, Subaru was rejected because he couldn't explain his circumstances due to Satela, but it was still his fault that everything went south and Puck proceeded to decapitate him.
Nevertheless, best episode ever of Re Zero.
