(TV Series)

(1973)

Micky Dolenz: Wally

Quotes

  • Butch Cassidy : [while climbing a mountain]  Only about 100 feet more to go, Merilee.

Merilee : Yeah, imagine us, the first ones in the world to climb the west slope of this mountain.

Stephanie (Steffy) : Yeah, this'll be a record.

Wally : Oh, the only record I want to make is a rock number in a recording studio.

  • [the Sundance Kids get ready to ride elephants]

Butch Cassidy : Come on, Wally. I'll help you mount up.

Wally : I don't need help. I saw Elephant Boy three times.

  • Prince Taki : [about the palace]  Can you dig it, my friends?

Wally : The most. And if things go wrong with the king business, you can always open up a bowling alley.

  • [the Sundance Kids find a note inside an apple left by a servant girl]

Butch Cassidy : Of course. She's our contact.

Merilee : We must reach her.

Wally : I'll go. She was a pretty cute chick.

[Wally opens the door, finds a large, muscular guard standing in front of him, and quickly closes the door]

Wally : [gulps]  She wasn't that cute.

  • Merilee : What is it, Butch?

Butch Cassidy : The prince. I saw him leave the palace with two men.

Wally : With the coronation less than eight hours away?

Butch Cassidy : Exactly. I don't like the feel of it. I must follow the prince. But how?

Merilee : [points out the window]  There's how.

Butch Cassidy : [looks through a spyglass]  Looks like a Jeep. A good old Jeep.

Merilee : Is that ever luck.

Butch Cassidy : [reads note on Jeep]  "To King Taki from the U.S.A."

Wally : Technically, it belongs to us until the prince becomes king.

  • Wally : [about Butch and Merilee]  Oh, they're never gonna make it in time.

Stephanie (Steffy) : If they don't, this could be our last assignment.

Wally : See? There's a bright side to everything.

  • [while trying to expose the phony prince]

Wally : Which Beatle played the drums?

[the imposter is unable to answer]

Wally : Okay, I'll make it a multiple choice question. Was it Paul McCartney or George Harrison?

Ahsan : This is ridiculous! Take them all away!

    [the crowd argues]

    Stephanie (Steffy) : Well?

Fake Prince : Uh... George Harris' son?

Wally : Wrong! Prince Taki, who was the first electronic guitarist in rock?

Prince Taki : That's easy. Jimi Hendrix.

Stephanie (Steffy) : Right. Okay, who wrote Woodstock?

    Prince Taki : Joni Mitchell.

Butch Cassidy : Who wrote Alice's Restaurant?

    Prince Taki : Arlo Guthrie.

    [the crowd cheers]
