Quotes
-
[while having a picnic]
Butch Cassidy : I brought the food.
Merilee : I brought the drinks.
Stephanie (Steffy) : I brought dessert. What did you bring, Wally?
Wally : Well, I, uh...
[looks down]
Wally : I brought the ants.
-
Rudy : [squawks and whistles] Good morning. Good morning. I'm Rudy, short for Rudolph. What's your name?
Butch Cassidy : Butch.
Rudy : [whistles and squawks] Butch? Short for Butcher?
-
Mr. Socrates : First of all, let me thank you for not bringing your dog.
Butch Cassidy : Don't thank us, Mr. Socrates. He didn't want to come.
Wally : I taught him the words "heel" and "stay", and you taught him the word "rejection."
[Mr. Socrates angrily beeps and everyone stares at Wally]
Wally : Sorry about that, Mr. Socrates.
-
Mr. Socrates : Rudy knows half of a top secret formula.
[Rudy squawks and whistles]
Butch Cassidy : Who knows the other half?
Mr. Socrates : Rudy's twin, Randy.
Wally : Short for Randolph!
-
Wally : Hey, Mr. Socrates, I just noticed that door. It wasn't there the last time we were here.
Mr. Socrates : It was just completed. A private elevator leading directly into my office. No one knows about it.
[Wally opens the door and Elvis appears, barking and licking Wally]
Butch Cassidy : Wally, get him out of here!
Mr. Socrates : Get... that... dog... out... of here! I thought he understood the word "rejection"! Ah... Ah... Ah-choo!
-
[the Sundance Kids are greeted by fans in Switzerland]
Butch Cassidy : It looks like half of Switzerland is out there.
Merilee : [on a different side of the plane] And the other half is over here.
Butch Cassidy : Smile, kids, and remember, fame is fleeting.
Wally : And when it fleets, it rips your clothing, pulls your buttons off, and tramples ya.
-
Randy : [squawks] Good morning. Good morning. I'm Randy, short for Randolph. What's your name?
Butch Cassidy : Butch.
Randy : Short for Butcher?
-
[after explaining to Mr. Socrates how enemy agents took Rudy from Wally]
Butch Cassidy : Right, Mr. Socrates, we'll do just that. And thanks, Mr. Socrates, for being so understanding about Wally. I mean, it could happen to any of us.
[Elvis laughs]
Mr. Socrates : I was not understanding. And if it could have happened to anyone else, why didn't it? Why does it always have to be Wally?
-
[the two parrots are reunited]
Butch Cassidy : Now when they look at each other, we're going to hear the world's most important nuclear formula!
[Randy speaks, but in a strange language]
Stephanie (Steffy) : What kind of language is that?
[Rudy speaks in the same language]
Merilee : That sounds like an oriental language.
Butch Cassidy : How about that? Mr. Socrates forgot to mention the scientists were Japanese.
