Enjoyable

I must say that Series 3 is a breath of fresh air without that most annoying section on Series 2, that is the Celebrity section which destroyed the Second Series for me. In this episode the three lads test European Pick Up trucks with their usual wit and fun.

Weak episode but still somewhat enjoyable

The challenges here were overly done and it just seems like whenever the 3 review cars they dont like (In this case pickup trucks) the chemistry just isn't the same and the producers try to compensate. With that said the one positive in this episode was the bit with the statues which was very funny.

And this 3er season has been bad, I haven't been able to find what exactly got me in the first place this show, I don't know maybe the 3 amigos are not in synchro as they don't feel just right, has been lack of creativity like in the old days, I hope I gets better in the near future

Im watching this show since 2005 and i completely understand that they cant make up new reviews, challenges, specials and i think they should stop trying. This last show is so scripted for me that it takes all the fun out of it. You an see when the bulletshells are not there, you can see wehen the bullets are fake etc etc. It is just too much. I just watched the first special where they didnt even have communication in the cars among them. That was more pure, and i understand that those days are gone but please please stop scripting and just do reveiws the top gear way, drive cars and give ur opinion....atick to the basic please...you are brilliant but also over the top at the moment....

I do like Hammond may and Clarkson on pretty much everything to date but this episode was lacking. I know stupidity is something they include for humour however this time round it was just boring not funny.

Reckon the 9yr old might giggle at this but I just find it too obvious and too staged! They are too far away from doing decent car reviews and act like clowns now!!

The only good but was the Jag review. The pickup truck was ridiculous, not funny and pretty boring. Relying too much on their camaraderie rather than writing decent scripts. We all love you chaps but don't ruin your reputation with this rubbish

It just felt off, they were trying to be funny and the episode doesn't feel natural. I am not sure how a grown up can enjoy this episode. Big fan of the trio and I know they can do much better.

Too much script writing and fakery on this one. The parts where they used guns to shoot from the pickups, they were all fakes and no live ammo were used at all. It was just too obvious and cringy to watch. Very disappointing overall. Amazon has really sterilized the trio.

This is nothing like original Top Gear. It's all fake, all american. Forced jokes, laughs, stupid gasoline explosions. Yes, they have big budget and yes, they like blowing it up, but that is not what old Top Gear was all about. It had soul. This is just a pathetic parody.

So Clearly Scripted

The show was so clearly scripted, that even in the field where they were to find a way, the grass was cut, showing a track line. Amazon have really overdone it here. So far this season the show is no longer naturally flowing.

Too much scripted and predictive rubbishness

It is barely watchable. Not impossible to watch as their new specials, but not much better either. Way too much of way too obvious scripting. Their sharp humor is now definitely gone, only dumbed down predictable Americanized stuff and WWE-like stunts. They are not much different now than what TG USA or Australia used to be.

This was above and beyond scripted and as unfunny as I've ever seen the trio, they should have retired. There was not a live round fired in that gunrun it was a borefest

I've been a Top Gear fan for many years, and had a great feeling about The Grand Tour when it came out. I've found pretty good and horrid episodes, but none have been as memorable as some in the TG franchise.

Moreover, I found this episode about pick-ups completely pointless. Letting aside that I live in a pick-up truck country, everything was scripted and moronic, letting aside the usual off-camera mishaps they used to laugh about, and the real piece of car advise and enthusiasm of times before. Even the fuel barrels seemed to be empty or almost empty at the second to last challenge. I found this episode almost as bad as "Operation Desert Stumble".

Don't get me wrong, I still love the guys, and really hope to see more spontaneous scripts and real old friend bickering for the next episodes, not that universal circus like comedy.

PS: Drop the tatty sound FX.
