Making 'The Undertaker' (2016)
*** (out of 4)
THE UNDERTAKER was pretty much an unknown movie for several years even though it had Joe Spinell who was pretty much doing another version of his MANIAC. The film eventually got released in a couple different versions and this featurette is an interview with one of its directors, William Kennedy. Kennedy starts off talking about how the film ended up getting made, how Spinnel came on board and he tells some other interesting stories including how they got their money back on the film before it was even completed. He also talks about some of the rumors surrounding the film as well as the final months of Spinnel's life. If you're a fan of the film or curious about the film then this is a very fun featurette. It at least shines a light on some of the film's secrets and it's also nice hearing that Spinnel wasn't in a really bad shape when he died. Fans of the actor will certainly enjoy this.
