The Wren mansion on Krownest is influenced by the architecture Frank Lloyd Wright, like the former headquarters of Lucasfilm, Big rock campus' Skywalker Ranch. The throne room is modeled on the main meeting room at Big Rock Ranch.
The Mando'a dialogue heard when Sabine is requesting to land on Krownest translates to "Hailing Clan Wren. This is Sabine Wren on approach. Please Respond". The reply translates to "Copy Sabine Wren, Standby".
Sabine's brother Tristan is introduced. The writers had played with several different concepts of Sabine having a sibling in earlier seasons. At first she was going to have a twin sister named Sacha. Later her brother was to be the Protector of Concord Dawn. This was changed to the unrelated character of Fenn Rau. In early development of 'Legacy of Mandalore, Tristan's first name was Jona.
This episode represents the first time the Mandalorian language of Mando'a can be heard spoken aloud in Star Wars since the purchase by Disney. The language was originally developed by Karen Traviss, author of the Republic Commando books that are now part of Star Wars Legends.
