- When Cleo's boyfriend, Thomas, decides to sell Henry's car, Henry enlists the help of high school basketball star, Clay Boone, to steal it back. But when Henry experiences inexplicable seizures, things quickly escalate beyond her control.
- We are starting this off with two unknown men engaged in a fight in a large body of water and then a swirling vortex occurs and transports the two men to a subway car in an unknown city. One man seems to be actively trying to escape the grasp of another man who is able to teleport. The teleportation man grabs the other man and they are transported to a iceberg island where the man that was so desperate to escape the clutches of the teleporter now clings to him for dear life. Once again the two men are transported back to another subway car and back to the icy cold island where this time the teleporter is able to release the ordinary man from his grip and this man is left on this island presumably to die. Cue opening credits and the introduction of the main character as she bikes her way through town, we find out her name is Henry being ridiculed by a family member about the number of pills that she is ingesting. Henry asks her mom if she can take her car out after school and wants to drive alone, but her mother says that she can't do that until the doctor says that it's okay. A brief family interlude occurs where you find out that Henry is in a blended family with a step-father and step-sister, her sister reluctantly drives her to school. During the car ride the two girls speak about their parents lack of long-term relationships and how this will be over soon. When they arrive at school Henry has headphones and is walking up watching the various high school stereotypes (girls hugging, popular rich jock, etc.) and once she arrives at her locker the rich jock approaches her and asks her to the game on Friday she declines like she has apparently a lot. We see Henry in the bathroom smoking pot and then a high school pep rally where the rich jock is introduced as Clay Boone where in typical high school fashion he is loved and leads a spelling cheer that Henry is shown to be mocking. Next clip is in class that Henry is sleeping through where a teacher is dishing out grades and tells a student named Townes he got an A and the student is distraught that his blue pen is missing. The teacher gets very agitated and begins yelling at the student when Henry speaks up and asks why do the students have to address the teacher as doctor when he doesn't have PhD and begins to tell him that she looked up where he studied and that he has never had a doctoral dissertation published from that university when the teacher becomes even more angry and tells her to go to the principal's office and she instead continues stating her facts the teacher grabs her arm to force her up and she begins seizing. The teacher brings her to the ground to allow her to seize without injury and next we see Henry waking up in a hospital with the doctor speaking to Henry's mom about her medical history of having seizures (3) and her father's medical history (he left when she was young) and increasing the dosages of her medicines Carbamazepine and Lamotrigine. Henry asks about her drivers license and if she will be able to get it back and the doctor tells her no that they need to get her seizures under control and once they do she can reapply in three years. Later that night Henry is defacing some property with graffiti and is walking back when she is stopped by a police officer named Hulce. She brings Henry home and tells her mother what she was doing, Henry's mother expresses her anger and Henry has a witty remark or two about the tagging. The step-father brings up that it is a felony in this town and the officer is quick to say she does not want to take anyone to jail just pay a fine. Henry's parents agree and the officer asks to speak to Henry outside where she tells Henry that the town doesn't take to newcomers really well and to seek other outlets. Back in her room later that evening Henry is visited by her mother who chastises Henry about not trying and how they can really stay here and put down some roots. Henry expresses her doubt stating her mother has said this before. During this exchange we find out that the step-father's name is Thomas and he is a good man and how her biological father was never around and did whatever he wanted. In another part of town that same evening we are at the Bill Boone car dealership as some vehicles are being taken off the transport truck and immediately wheeled into a service bay to begin gutting them to remove bags of pills hidden in the vehicle. Bill Boone speaks to his son about how they had paid for two trailers and only received one, hi son informs him the the other transport driver lost his passport and is stuck in Ottawa. The following day as the girls are preparing to leave for school Henry sees her car being pulled out a garage and runs over to see what is going on. Thomas informs her that they are going to sell her car to pay the fine for the tagging, Henry runs to her mother who confirms what Thomas said. Henry walks into school with the headphones on and is listening to her step-sister and stereotypical high school girlfriends speaking about a new tattoo one of them just got and how Clay Boone has hooked up with a girl, Tracy Stafford,
