Pedro Pascal was taken aback when he was announced the winner of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series during this year’s SAG Awards. Even though Pascal entered this award season as one of the favorites following his performance in HBO’s The Last of Us, the actor failed to bag a win on most occasions until 2024’s SAG Awards.
While delivering an emotional speech after the win, the actor hilariously dropped an F-bomb out of nowhere, as the actor later revealed that he was too drunk to remember anything he said.

Who’s ready for a joyride? The long-rumored Ferris Bueller’s Day Off spin-off, Sam and Victor’s Day Off, is ready to twist and shout with David Katzenberg at the helm. According to industry insider Jeff Sneider, Katzenberg is buckling up for a film featuring the two mischievous valets who borrowed Cameron’s father’s Ferrari to rip through the streets of Chicago joyously! In his newsletter, Sneider says the duo’s adventure takes place on a single day, with Sam and Victor grabbing life by the short and curlies for a fast-paced tear through city streets.
Sam and Victor’s Day Off will be Katzenberg’s feature directorial debut after helming numerous television episodes for various shows. Famously known in the industry for directing 41 episodes of The Goldbergs, Katzenberg’s director credits extend to Young Rock, 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Schooled, Riverdale, and more.

Exclusive: Dexter Darden (Chang Can Dunk), Chloe Bridges (Maggie) and Robert Buckley (One Tree Hill) have joined the cast of Amber Ruffin and Kenny Smith NBC comedy pilot, Non-Evil Twin.
Darden plays Marcus, a contemporary nerd and tech developer for exercise equipment. He’s a good guy, but no fan of confrontation, which makes it hard for him to do the right thing at times. Bridges plays Robin, the CEO of Dandee Sports Apparel and Angie’s (Ruffin) corporate nemesis. She’s a self-described woman of faith who’s a shark in the boardroom. Buckley plays Samson, Angie’s not-so-bright lawyer who, in addition to providing legal counsel, provides Angie with anything she needs…be it copious amounts of rosé or sex.

“The Goldbergs” is coming to an end after 10 seasons on ABC, according to reports. The ’80s-set half-hour comedy was based on creator Adam F. Goldberg’s childhood experiences.
With over 200 episodes and a decade-long run, the Sony Pictures Television series — which follows the title family in a Pennsylvania town — has earned the distinction of being the longest-running live-action network comedy series currently on the air. The season finale, set to air May 3, will now serve as a series ender.
The logline for Season 10 is as follows: “With everyone living back under the same roof and Beverly adjusting to her new role as Grandsmotherer, the Goldbergs pandemonium is crazier than ever. As this latest chapter of life continues to unfold, the Goldbergs remind us that there is no bond greater than family, and there is nothing they can’t handle with each other’s support.”

ABC will say farewell to The Goldbergs this season.
The Disney-owned broadcast network’s longest-running scripted comedy series will conclude with its current 10th season, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. Sources say calls were made Thursday afternoon to inform the show’s stars and creatives.
The Goldbergs has been a stalwart for ABC for the past decade, remaining the network’s comedy constant for executive regimes covering Paul Lee, Channing Dungey, Karey Burke and Craig Erwich.
The series, which has weathered the departures of star Jeff Garlin following multiple Hr complaints, is produced by Sony Pictures Television. ABC’s lack of ownership on the sitcom, paired with declining linear ratings and pricey licensing fees for an aging series, made an 11th season increasingly unlikely.

"Wednesday" is Netflix's latest hit series. The show, which premiered on Nov. 23, is now the streaming platform's most watched English-language series in a week, per Forbes. The fourth season of "Stranger Things" previously held the title, which goes to show just how much fans are loving this new iteration of Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega. In this version, Wednesday is a teenager who's honing in her psychic abilities at Nevermore Academy. There, we meet an interesting set of characters, including Wednesday's handsome love interest, Tyler Galpin.

‘The Good Doctor’ Legal Spinoff ‘The Good Lawyer’ With Female Lead In Works At ABC As Backdoor Pilot
Exclusive: After expanding one popular long-running procedural drama, The Rookie, with a planted spinoff for next season, ABC is looking to do it for another, The Good Doctor with an embedded episode. I hear the network is developing legal offshoot The Good Lawyer, from The Good Doctor executive producers/co-showrunners David Shore and Liz Friedman, Sony Pictures TV and Shore’s studio-based Shore Z Prods. ABC Signature is co-producing.
Like with the Nathan Fillion-starring The Rookie, the spinoff of the Freddie Highmore-headlined The Good Doctor will have a female lead and will be introduced as a backdoor pilot during The Good Doctor‘s upcoming sixth season, I hear. Reps for ABC and Sony TV declined comment, and deals are still being worked out.
According to sources, two characters from The Good Lawyer, the lead Joni as well as Janet, will appear in Episode 613 of The Good Doctor, with the roles currently casting.

Country music star Jimmie Allen is set to make his feature film debut with upcoming musical “Be Alright.”
“The Goldbergs’” Hayley Orrantia will co-star, with both Allen and Orrantia in the lead roles.
In “Be Alright,” which is set in New York City in the 1960s, Orrantia plays down-on-her-luck Eve. Things start looking up when she encounters an “old friend with a new mantra” played by Allen.
In keeping with Allen’s musical style, the film is set to have a country flavor. Production will kick off this month at the Warner Bros. lot.
As well as starring in “Be Alright” (which shares a title with a track from his recent album “Tulip Drive”), Allen developed the original story and will produce and co-direct the feature alongside Chris Beyrooty.
Beyrooty wrote the screenplay with Connor Martin.
Joining the team are Emmy Award-winning “Dancing with the Stars” choreographer Tessandra Chavez, who will choreograph the dance numbers,...

On Sept. 23 and 24, 2013, over two consecutive nights, Sony Pictures TV launched two broadcast series that would go the distance, NBC’s The Blacklist and ABC’s The Goldbergs. Both were recently renewed by their respective networks for a ninth season, with no indication in that announcement that these would the shows’ final seasons.

During the 2019-20 season, American Housewife was the lowest-rated ABC comedy to be renewed. Meanwhile, higher-rated sitcoms like Schooled, Bless This Mess, and Single Parents were all cancelled. Is American Housewife nearing the end of its run? Will this family comedy be cancelled or renewed for season six? Stay tuned. Status Update Below.
American Housewife stars Katy Mixon, Diedrich Bader, Meg Donnelly, Daniel Dimaggio, Giselle Eisenberg, and Ali Wong. The sitcom centers on Katie Otto (Mixon), a confident and unconventional mother from the wealthy town of Westport, Connecticut. Katie wants to "keep it real" stand apart from her community's "perfect" parents and their entitled children. Katie's logic-driven husband, Greg (Bader), supports her efforts as best he can. Together, they try to make sure that their three kids -- headstrong Taylor (Donnelly), snarky Oliver (Dimaggio), and obsessive-compulsive Anna-Kat (Eisenberg) -- understand their family's old-fashioned values, so...

The fog of reruns from the 2020 holidays has lifted. On Sunday night, networks returned to their regularly scheduled programming (more or less) with a combination of new shows and the return of some favorites.
One of the only programs that didn’t take a holiday break was NBC’s Sunday Night Football, which held steady with last week delivering a 3.8 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 13.77 million viewers who watched Washington beat Philadelphia and secure a postseason berth in the regular-season finale.
The SNF numbers are likely to be adjusted in finals, with NFL overrun also impacting programming on CBS and Fox.
Fox started the new year with the series premiere of Call Me Kat starring Mayim Bialik, which did Ok. Boosted by an outsized NFL lead-in, the comedy topped the evening in non-nfl fare in early Nielsen Live+Same Day numbers, for now making it the best...

The sisters announced their upcoming album in a TikTok video set to the tune of "Potential Breakup Song" on Oct. 29, and we've been psyched ever since. ABC is not high on United We Fall.
The network has canceled the comedy series, which kicked off this summer, after a single season, according to Variety.
Will Sasso and Christina Vidal Mitchell played husband and wife Bill and Jo, whose lives are turned upside down when Bill’s mother Sandy, played by Jane Curtin, moves in with them and their two daughters Emily and Lulu.
The cast also included Guillermo Diaz (Scandal) in the role of Jo’s brother Chuy.
Despite being buried on the summer schedule, the series was a decent performer, launching with 4.2 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.
Ultimately, it averaged 3.4 million viewers and a 0.5 rating across its run, meaning that it was a tossup for renewal or cancellation.
In recent months, the future of new scripted comedies on the broadcast networks has been the topic of much debate.
