The title "Triple Point" refers to a thermodynamical concept: the triple point of a substance is the temperature and pressure at which the three phases (gas, liquid, and solid) of that substance coexist in thermodynamic equilibrium. At the triple point, it is therefore possible to change all of the substance to ice, water, or vapor by making arbitrarily small changes in pressure and temperature.
Gunnie Draper's battle suit has hydrazine thrusters. Hydrazine has been used as a monofuel propellant since the 1940s. NASA uses it in satellites and deep space probes. Just pushing hydrazine through a platinum catalyst converts the liquid fuel into a large volume of very hot gasses.
