Wild music video for sure, but not really a good one

If you read the title here: "Will Smith: Wild Wild West", you know immediately the name of the singer, or I should say one of the singers or the rapper perhaps and also the name of the song. The latter is the same like the name of the movie this was made for. The film received negative reviews mostly, while the song did not attract such bad attention. But it's not too good either, not too bad either though. There is a short version out there and a long version and the long one runs for almost 7 minutes like it says here on imdb because it probably also includes a scene in which Smith' character had to save a damsel in distress from razor-sharp shurikens, machine gun fire (not very western is it?) and eventually a threateningly huge metal spider. And he succeeds of course. Just like he does with his rhymes. Maybe my rating here is also a bit subjective as I am not a huge hip hop fan. Probably preferred the Dru Hill parts overall, maybe also because my appreciation for Smith has gone south in recent years, but yeah that's another story and also has to do with his sons and wife. By the way, what happened to Sisqo? It's been almost 20 years since this was released. All in all, close call, but I give it a thumbs-down and if you still wanna check it out, just go with the song and do without the music video. Or skip it altogether because while it is not a failure, honestly you won't be missing much here.

When then video came out I drove my kids NUTS cranking it on my 5.1 THX sound system with klipsch speakers all around including 2 powdered subs . 1st off the sound was phenomenal and the lyrics are perfect this video is right up there in quality with MJ now before you say I'm crazy hear me out I know what I'm talking about. The moviecwild wild west was absolutely HORRIBLE the cast was ALK wrong including will smith robert conrad owned that role and West was a hard ass no sense of humor guy so Will was doomed from the start and kevin Kline is a brilliant actor but again wrong role and no chemistry with will anyway back to the video. The music is iconic so that's already 1 solid 10 you add the brilliant lyrics come on once upon a time in the west mad man lost his damn mind in the west I can go on but the lyrics are brilliant add to that Siscos PHENOMENAL vocals it just works will is no dancer never has been but he makes the moves work here and sorry thecwestern outfits work. Its suppose to be a cheesy western in your face kick ass video and it is . Every time my wife and I watch it and LISTEN to it we get pumped up we dance we love it. We slam our hands like they do in the video we sing the lyrics it's a song us dorky white guys can relate to. Yeah it's not a street thug rap song even though I grew up on the streets in Minneapolis it's not my music actually I'm a classic rock queen rush Boston are my favorites I saw MJ in Minnesota all 3 nights on his bad tour I had a dance club in my basement in Minnesota in the late 80s we LOVED MJ he was and will always be the king of pop but He was the GENIUS of music videos smooth criminal and blood on the dance floor are our favorites but this video by will smith is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED!!!!!!!!
