The Opportunistic woman.

Warning: Spoilers
Danneel's premiere episode in the supernatural as Sister Jo/ Anael. It's fun to see Jensen's wife join the show.

My first impression about Anael, she is oportunist, kind of someone who do everything to make herself keep in safety place, who can kick your ass when she realizes she can get more than that. And what she said about angels is so true, she just want be appreciate by others. She enjoying her life on earth now. She is talented manipulative, you can't easly put your trust if you can't give benefit for her, business woman type, like she said. It was great and I wonder for the next, Danneel's acting can represent Anael that interesting.

And so much fun to watch Lucifer dealing with his weakness. Lucifer's in this episode remind me about Cas in human mode. Dean's concern for Cas and feeling guilty for not trying to find him made me feel touched. It was a small action with a simple dialogue, but Dean's sincerity was good enough.

Lucifer and angels

Warning: Spoilers
Hmm i enjoyed most of the ep but really a little too much going on... First now angels can recharge theie grace? There is an archangel blade? Gabriel is alive? Now it is established in a way that Gabriel did not die because the blade does not work on Lucifer...but idk its too much. Anael's motivations don't make much sense but perhaps work out in the end.

The glorious last 30sec almost made up for the rest...

SPOILERS!!

Oh BuckLemming...why do you insist on taking situations and sexualizing them in super creepy (and often nonconsensual) ways? Danneel Ackles was amazing as Sister Jo, the runnaway angel-turned-business woman who healed humans for a profit. And it even made sense that she struck a bargain for Lucifer. She has potential to be a villain of Metatron's magnitude and the intelligence to actually achieve her goals. She is the true power behind the throne at the moment. But sexualizing the grace-sharing twisted my stomach in ALL the wrong ways. It IS possible for a woman to be strong and powerful without using "sexual wiles."

However, most of the episode faded into the background of my mind with the final thirty seconds. GABRIEL IS ALIVE! Richard Speight Jr is a blessing on this show. The character of Gabriel only appeared in FIVE EPISODES, and he's been a fan-favorite ever since. It's truly amazing what he managed with so little screen time--in 5 episodes, we were blown away by a complex understanding of his motivations, history, and characterization. We knew more about him than any other angel...UNDERSTOOD him better than any other angel (including Castiel until recently...bc Cas has remained a little elusive motivation-wise over the seasons...which is fine bc his goals have changed drastically). I know of many older SPN fans who are now furiously binge-watching the show to catch up over the haiatus...simply because they learned Gabriel returns. I only hope the writers understand how much this character means to the fan base.

Ends up being tedious filler because it is rushed
CubsandCulture19 July 2021
This episode wastes two possible plotlines by introducing them and resolving them within the episode itself. The first is Lucy having to "feed" on Jo being sexualized similar to Sam's demon blood arch in season 4 (or vampires generally). The second is Lucy turning human (ish) because of the lack of grace, similar to Cas in season 9. Both ideas are recycled obviously but had the writers decided to try to explore either they could have moved the ideas in different directions. Instead this is a frustrating tease and ends up being limp because of the recycled ideas.

One of the worst episodes of this season

Warning: Spoilers
This show became predictable, it's sad to see a show I was watching for years is dying slowly and painfuly. At first seasons there was thrill, drama, death, now it's only falling on shelves and resurrecting already dead characters. Dead must be dead, remember? Btw I am glad for Gabriel, I was asking for him two years already, but everything else is a lame. Btw how is Dean not mad of other guy touching his wife?
