When the trailer for "The Strangers: Chapter 1" first dropped, fans were introduced to a new couple in a new setting, but the same ol' scary masked killers wreaking havoc simply because "you were home." Well, in the case of the new film, it's because "you were here," but there's no need to split hairs. As is the case with the existing two films in the "Strangers" series, the chaos begins when a mysterious young woman shows up unannounced asking if Tamara is home, the ringing death knell of all "Strangers" stories. From there, all hell breaks loose, set wonderfully to "Trouble" by Cage the Elephant, with an expertly placed repeat of "Oohs" that turns this alternative/indie hit into something that sounds far more sinister.
With a shockingly low track record at the box office so far, "The Strangers: Chapter 1" has the potential to be the first true...

Young and the Restless predictions suspect Ashley Abbott‘s alter might make her kill her ex-husband, Tucker McCall, on the CBS daytime drama.
Ashley Abbott in Trouble on Young and the Restless
A while back, on Y&r, Ashley Abbott’s behavior started changing. It all started right after her disastrous honeymoon in Paris with her now ex-husband, Tucker McCall.
When she came home from Paris, she accused Tucker of being violent during their argument at the bistro. But when she questioned the staff they all confirmed Tucker’s story.
She thought he was trying to make her doubt her sanity. But then things got worse when Ashley began to hear voices in her head.
Then, she started losing time and having blackouts on Young and the Restless. That’s when it became clear that there were other personalities at play.

“I’ve been calling it a miracle.”
It’s just over a week before the release of Cage the Elephant’s first album in five years, and Matt Shultz is sitting at a corner table in the courtyard restaurant at Hollywood’s Sunset Marquis Hotel, iced coffee in hand, sunglasses covering his eyes. The frontman isn’t dwelling on expectations; he’s happy just to see the album come out at all. And he’s not using the m-word lightly.
“It’s a miracle to be performing again,” he adds.

The different endings to Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Elden Ring are one of the many unique elements that make the title special in its own right. However, it might just pose a hurdle for the director to come through if he wishes to create a sequel to the game, something which is very likely to happen if all goes according to plan.
Hidetaka Miyazaki has a huge challenge waiting for him if he decides to make Elden Ring 2
There are many paths that the Elden Ring franchise could essentially travel down in the future, but the different conclusions of the storyline make it difficult for the director to choose one single post-ending scenario to focus on, leaving him with nothing but one decision to make.
What Will Hidetaka Miyazaki Have To Do To Make Elden Ring 2 Successful
Bearing in mind how it is impossible to explore the future of every different ending at once,...

Baazigar ft Kajol, Srk. (Photo Credit – IMDb/Instagram/Youtube)
Baazigar is one of the most loved and entertaining crime thrillers of the 90s. It’s the first film in which Shah Rukh Khan plays the bad buy. The 1993 thriller is also the first time we saw Srk and Kajol together on screen. Shilpa Shetty made her Bollywood debut with the Abbas-Mustan directorial.
It has been three decades since Baazigar was released, and people can’t get enough of the dialogues, music, performances, Srk, and Kajol’s chemistry. But did you know that Abbas-Mustan initially hired Nadeem-Shravan to compose the film’s music? However, the duo wanted the makers to drop Kajol from the film. When things didn’t work out, the directorial duo hired Anu Malik to compose the film’s music.

Kurt Russell and John Carpenter make a great team. The two first worked together on the TV movie "Elvis," and then went on to make "Escape From New York," "Escape From L.A.," "The Thing," and of course, "Big Trouble in Little China." "Big Trouble" isn't a horror movie or even your typical John Carpenter flick. It's a pulpy action-comedy that sees Russell playing buffoonish truck driver Jack Burton, who gets roped into becoming a very clumsy hero to fight a trio of ancient gods and an evil sorcerer. The movie is an absolute blast from beginning to end, and Russell is clearly having a lot of fun playing Burton, a character who thinks he's the hero when he's really more like a glorified sidekick to his friend Wang Chi (Dennis Dun).
Russell and Carpenter worked together well over the years, with Russell seemingly bringing out the best in Carpenter and vice versa.

Coldplay are looking back on their early days with the re-release of their debut single, “Brothers & Sisters.”
Before Coldplay were the platinum-selling, stadium-filling pop band they’re known as today, they were four college kids in London, studying for finals while they sought out a record deal. Now, “Brothers & Sisters” will receive an exclusive vinyl re-release for its 25th anniversary, arriving on November 15th.

Since The CW revamped its schedule, the football drama All American remains one of the last originals.
Since its spinoff, All American: Homecoming, was also renewed and is scheduled to air sometime in the summer of 2024, it’s not overall surprising they want to capitalize on both.
It’s not uncommon for a TV to expand its universe into spinoffs. Most often, procedural-type franchises such as CSI, Law & Order, and the One Chicago Universe have done it.
However, we’ve seen teen shows do it successfully, including The Vampire Diaries universe on The CW and The Fosters transitioning into Good Trouble on Freeform.
All American and All American: Homecoming are succeeding the way they are. Do we need additional spinoffs?
What is All American About?
All American was inspired by the life of professional football player Spencer Paysinger. Daniel Ezra portrays the fictional lead role of Spencer James.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is looking to resurrect the Budokai Tenkaichi series and is coming out swinging. Everything we have seen about the game so far has been impressive, and fans are looking forward to reliving the best moments from across Dragon Ball.
The roster is also looking very robust, with characters from across the Dragon Ball universe playable. However, a recent bit of information has a Redditor concerned regarding some forms of a main character that may or may not make it into the final game.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero May Not Feature Every Single Goku Form
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero may cut some forms of Goku.
No Dragon Ball game is complete without Goku; in fact, it wouldn’t be a Dragon Ball game without Goku. The issue does come up, though, that over the course of the series’ long history, Goku has changed a lot, and I don’t mean his personality.

Having come to love Station 19 as much as and sometimes even more than Grey’s Anatomy, the series from which it was spun, I approached TVLine’s interview with new showrunners Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige with mixed feelings. On one hand, I was delighted, as I was as eager as any overenthusiastic viewer to find out what they have in store. On the other, I was horrified, as the first-responders drama’s Season 7 premiere would mark the beginning of the end: In December, ABC turned the hose on the show, announcing that its next 10 episodes would be its last.

It's the end of an era for Freeform as Good Trouble comes to a close this week. Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) and Callie (Maia Mitchell) said goodbye to The Coterie, ending a 10-year journey for the characters after five years on The Fosters before heading off on their new adult adventures in the spin-off series.
The Good Trouble creative team wasn't aware the show was ending when they originally crafted (and shot) the Season 5 finale. Freeform made the announcement during the season's post-production and allowed the crew to film additional scenes to wrap up the story. Despite only having a few scenes to pull together a series finale, the final episode of Good Trouble was representative of everything fans have loved about the show, from outlandish plots to heartwarming family moments.

Elvis Presley‘s “Trouble” was a little bit of a joke except when Elvis sang it during the ’68 Comeback Special. One of the writers who wrote the song was shocked by how much power he brought to the track. Elvis incorporated the tune into a medley and knocked it out of the park.
Elvis Presley’s ‘Trouble’ has a connection to Ben E. King’s ‘Stand By Me’
Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller were one of the most important songwriting duos from the 1950s and early 1960s. They penned Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me,” The Clovers’ “Love Potion No. 9,” and The Coasters’ “Yakety Yak.” Some of the hits they wrote for Elvis included “Jailhouse Rock,” “Hound Dog,” and “Bossa Nova Baby.” During a 2006 interview with Elvis Information Network, Leiber was a big fan of how Elvis performed “Trouble” during a famous television appearance.

Glenn Danzig has always been inspired by classic rock and he took that to a new level by recording an entire album of Elvis Presley songs. One of the tracks on the album was a rendition of Elvis’ “One Night,” which he had covered before. Notably, Elvis was not the first artist to record “One Night.” The tune’s writer revealed what he thought of the “I Want You, I Need You, I Love You” singer’s rendition.
Glenn Danzig covered Elvis Presley’s ‘One Night’ several times
Danzig first became famous through his punk band The Misfits. Since then, he’s also been part of the groups Samhain and Danzig. With the latter group, he released an Elvis cover album simply called Danzig Sings Elvis. The record includes a recording of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll‘s “One Night.”

The return of Callie Adams-Foster makes everything better.
Dare we say it, but Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 16 felt the most like a vintage installment for this series in quite some time and tapped into the Good Trouble nostalgia and endearing vibe of Good Trouble Season 1.
Callie's return felt as well-placed as Isabella's, and all of the plot points of the hour were compelling and moved things forward.
From the performances and pacing to the subject matter and character focus, "One Way or Another" was one of the strongest hours of Good Trouble Season 5, combining the season's darker tones with some of the compelling approaches to life's issues that were so prominent for the series in its prime.
There wasn't a single miss with storylines during this hour.
The series still remembers Lyric, and instead of using her as Gael's wingbaby regarding his growing attraction and budding potential relationship with Jay,...

While there is no shortage of loner do-gooders in the action thriller genre, something with which we can all agree on is the fact that having the assistance of a sidekick or partner increases the appeal of such narratives. In Jack Reacher’s case, the snarky, sharp, quick-witted Pi Frances Neagley fits the bill, and if her increased role in the second season is any indication, the reception of her character among the viewers of Amazon Prime’s Reacher is wildly positive. As a former colleague of Jack Reacher in the military police and a vital member of his 110th unit of special investigators, Neagley’s presence in Reacher’s life has gradually moved beyond professional boundaries and she’s become the closest thing the wandering nomad can regard as family.
In the series, the Margrave saga of Reacher’s adventures introduced Neagley as one of his trusted acquaintances in the first season,...

Based on a series of novel by Jon F Merz, the titular undead Fixer comes to life in the first Lawson teaser trailer.
The age of vampires isn’t over yet, at least if you ask filmmakers. The big wigs at Marvel are (hopefully) working hard on a Blade adaptation which hasn’t been smooth sailing exactly, but there’s another eagerly anticipated, bloodsucking adaptation heading our way.

Cradle of Filth guitarist Marek “Ashok” Šmerda is getting married to the band’s keyboardist/vocalist Zoë M. Federoff.
Federoff joined Cradle of Filth in 2022 following the exit of Annabelle Iratni, while Ashok has been with the symphonic black metal act since 2014. A fun thing about getting into old musicals after watching "The Simpsons" your whole life is that you'll find yourself experiencing a never-ending string of realizations like, "Oh, so this is where that 'Simpsons' scene came from." Such is the case for "The Music Man," the 1962 musical about a conman who goes into a naive small town, stirs up a moral panic, and then uses said panic to sell them band instruments. This is all encapsulated in the musical number "Ya Got Trouble," where main character Harold Hill (Robert Preston) uses his charisma to get the town fully on board with his money-making scheme.
To a "Simpsons" fan, the song's tone, meaning, and rhythm should quickly feel familiar. That's because it's the same basic song Lyle Lanley (voiced by Phil Hartman) sings to the town of Springfield to get them to invest in a monorail they don't need.

Discussions regarding a potential merger of Paramount and Wbd are still in their early stages, but such a combination would produce a powerful sports broadcaster.
So much for a quiet pre-holiday news week! The relative calm in the streaming industry was shattered on Wednesday evening when news broke that Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery had begun talks about a potential merger. Though discussions are still in the early stages, a combination of the two companies is worth examining in greater detail, particularly as both hold a potent variety of live sports rights.
Paramount has NFL and college sports, while Wbd carries games from MLB, the NBA and NHL. Both companies have embraced streaming, and offer most live sports on streaming as well as linear platforms. Combining Max and Paramount+ would create a sports streaming platform that could rival even ESPN’s wide array of sports events. 7-Day Free Trial $9.99+ / month...

[This story contains mild spoilers to the three-episode premiere of season two of Reacher.]
During the three-episode opener of Reacher’s season two premiere, audiences found the nomadic muscle-bound former leader of an elite military unit in Lee Child’s best-selling novels trying to live the same discreet unnoticeable life as best as a 6-foot-5 Herculean-framed man could do.
All Jack Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson, wants to do is stay to himself, explore America, and quietly observe the compulsions and actions of everyday people. It’s not really his desire to socialize or get involved in the lives of others, but as the first episode of season two confirms, his code of what is right and wrong won’t let the former military officer sit back when he sees a crime in progress. In this case, he senses a woman nervously taking money out of an Atm machine to deliver to a carjacker, who is holding her child hostage down the street.

Ever since “Reacher: Season One” hit the streamiverse (is that a word?), fans have been speculating and salivating about the arrival of the next of Lee Childs’ 28 Reacher novels to provide the source material for another round with their icon. Season One was based on the first and included the childhood part of Reacher’s backstory that shaped his values. This one is based on the 11th, Bad Luck and Trouble, which seems apt for the medium, despite being out of sequence. This one shows us the strong military ties and allegiances, explaining more about his character and skills.

The late Norman Lear’s life and legacy took center stage tonight at the 2023 Sentinel Awards at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills.
The awards, which celebrate the storytellers behind some of the year’s most impactful stories, heard a statement from Lyn Lear read at the start of the show by Marty Kaplan, founding director of the Norman Lear Center.
“I would have been there tonight if not for the passing of our beloved Norman. He was so proud of the work of The Lear Center and Hollywood Health and Society. And he would not have wanted all of us to mourn. He would want us to celebrate the important shows you are honoring tonight, and most of all… he would want us to laugh.”
The night celebrated Lear’s lasting impact on television and the world, underlining his strong advocacy that television and storytelling makes a difference.
