One of the best docu-series I've seen this year

While I do tend to gravitate towards docu-series, I did not think I'd like this show nearly as much as I did. I'm completely hooked. I found the last two episodes (unfortunately there are only six!) particularly interesting. As a native New Yorker who was frankly uninterested in ever seeing another "special" about 9/11, terrorism, and the like ever again, these episodes were completely different from the usual song and dance on the topic. The interviews with the FBI agents who had been hunting the terrorists for a decade before 9/11 even occurred were as fascinating to me as they were genuine. While the role of the CIA in such activities is well-known, the role of the FBI— especially in international affairs—is often glossed over (I, for one, was completely ignorant of their involvement at all). If you're looking for some mindless late night TV, this probably isn't it, but they do a good job providing background info and making it "accessible" to the average viewer.

Truly hoping for another season!!!

A very good documentary

Taking under consideration that giving intel about FBI is highly scrutinized , especially regarding classified intel that should not be publicly disclosed, this show gives a very well presented image of FBI service.

I believe that this attempt is also a "positive campaign" that is mainly focusing on how to counter balance all this negative publicity that surrounds the agency after Trump's - Comey dispute.

All in all, if you want to get a reality check on what FBI service does and get a generic idea of some incidents, it is a nice and pleasant show to watch.

Inside the FBI IT'S NOT THE ID CHANNEL
dgoldman02074 September 2017
I really like this show. The show has pushed the envelope using actual named cases. The way it's directed and edited is not like shows on Discovery Channel (though many are good but are notches down from this one). They are cheesy, predictable dramas with haunting music letting the viewer know what's just around the corner.....

I like the way the facts are explored in the show re the agents, their motivations, and the criminal's brief history. Just enough without the drama of a soap opera. This show is well done, tasteful (especially given the subject matter) and does the horrific without firing it up for the sake of ratings. I like that the show keeps it's crime content on the high ground (of course, I've only seen two episodes and that could change).

I'd like a season 2 but please don't mess it up by turning it into a show about the character's private lives. I don't like it when it's supposed to be a serious show about serious matters that turns into a show throwing in everything but the kitchen sink. Granted, every FBI agent has a home life and the show needs to stay depicting it just a bit for purposes of clarity or explanation. It's Inside the FBI, not Inside the FBI Agent's private home life - that's been, and is being, done too many times.

Hollow, Boring, Nothing to tell Self-promotion crap
MovieIQTest20 May 2017
I've tried very hard to watch this series, but after 4 nothing-to- tell episodes, I decided this series is nothing but a self-promotion crap. What we saw in it was just a bunch of FBI guys walking in their office, sitting around, pouring coffee, always in a meeting, non-stop talking about how to prevent terrorist attacks in New York. The first episode started by linking the Paris terrorist attack to the possibility of being attacked in New York in the coming Thanksgiving and New Year. But we actually saw nothing except those FBI gumshoes talked, talked and talked in their small or larger group meetings. In the meantime, never to skip the families of the senior FBI employees, blah, blah and blah. The only thing that we actually saw was the office of FBI N.Y., other than that, nothing worth watching at all. F=Fidelity, B=Bravery, I=Integrity, yeah, right, let's just skip this sublime motto, okay? Don't waste our couch-potato precious time, will you?
