Episode 1.6

We know DI Williams dislikes Faith. She turns up the heat even more by having Faith's kids taken away by social services as Faith is being questioned at the police station.

There are several untrustworthy people about in this episode, a few with their own agendas.

Even Evan's father is behaving suspiciously when he turns up at the law firm going through some files.

Faith still perseveres, tracking down the false witness who was involved in the Glynn murder trial. There is a shocking scene at the end of the episode that even leaves DI Williams shaken.

Another episode with a wonderful performance from Eve Myles. However some of the stuff did not add up for me.

Faith should never had gone to the police station for questioning when Evan's abandones car was found. Let her be arrested and get the police run down the clock before they have to charge her or release her. This was alluded to later on in the episode. Also Faith should had called her solicitor earlier.

Although the action of the social services makes for dramatic television. Someone like Faith would make an immediate court application to get her children back, get the Law Society to support her, get the press on her side and really throw DI Williams to the wolves.

Best episode to date.
Sleepin_Dragon5 July 2018
The series has been excellent since the start, but things took a dramatic turn in this episode, which for my money has been the best yet. Gripping, compulsive, explosive, emotionally engaging, all words I think fairly describe the sixty minute roller coaster ride. So much happening here, but it never becomes overly complicated or too clever for its own good, this really was a wow episode, Myles gives her best performance to date, but the standard throughout has been superb, Eiry Thomas shines through as DI Williams. The ending was dynamic and gripping, you just don't know where they're going next. Nice to see Mali Harries having more screen time.

Best yet, 10/10

Why would the police call relations when they found his car
paulatepc6623 October 2018
..and why would they identify his car by a chassis number rather than make model and number plate?

It was a "known suicide spot" yet the discovery of the car was grounds to acuse Faith of murder?

The plot is loose held togethet by dramatic music.

Warning: Spoilers
I have really tried to like this series from the off, but it has been a struggle. Excellent cast. Episode 6 has been the final straw. DI Williams 'evil witch' character is ridiculous. An experienced solicitor arrested and questioned without caution who proceeds to be interviewed without a brief? There is no evidence Linking Faith with anything! Evans parents and sister continue to wander round like ghosts at a wedding. The plot has been lost... Literally...
