The short film was shot on a full sized VHS camcorder in Nampa, Idaho in 1992. During this time, David Lee Hefner was working at KIVI TV (ABC Network television affiliate), while Dan Hefner was working at KTRV TV (at the time, a FOX Network television affiliate).
Note the exclusive, limited-edition promotional T-Shirt, "Married With Children" worn by Dan Hefner. He acquired the T-Shirt while he was working for KTRV TV, which was a FOX television network affiliate at the time. It promoted their 'England Show', a three-part trilogy of episodes in season 6 that aired on FOX during the Nielsen ratings May Sweeps (May 3, 1992, May 10, 1992, and May 17, 1992).
The apartment where the film takes place was the Hefner Bros. actual apartment (Juniper Court Apartments), where they were roommates and resided in Nampa, Idaho, USA.
The film was shot consecutively over a period of one night. It incorporated practical effects, trick photography, and utilized the camera's built-in feature for stop-motion sequences.
The full sized VHS camcorder that the Hefner brothers used for the production was purchased by them at a Sears department store on October 16, 1991 for $1000.
