What is the point of a video game expansion? Too often, the point is to make some extra money without having to make an entirely new game. That’s not necessarily a sin, but the worst video game Dlc expansions too often showcase the worst of gaming. Yet, the best video game Dlc expansions show all the things that concept should be.
The best Dlc expansions do more than give us an excuse to dive back into the games we already own. They revive, reinvigorate, and, in some cases, even redeem their base experiences. We all benefit from learning from our best and worst moments. Well, that’s also what the greatest expansions do. They benefit from the knowledge of seeing what came before and realizing how much more there still is to do.
Before we talk about the greatest video game Dlc expansions, though, please note that this list...

After almost a month streaming on Netflix, Jennifer Lopez‘s action-thriller “The Mother” continues to reign over the global top 10 chart for the week of May 29. Read on for this week’s analysis.
This week “The Mother” was once again the #1 English movie across the globe with 16.5 million hours viewed, but it also entered Netflix’s all-time chart as the eighth most-watched English language film on the streamer with 229.3 million viewing hours. It was only the number-one movie in Jordan, of all places, but it remained in the top 10 for 89 countries total.

A significant time into Tin & Tina, a heavily pregnant Lola is woken up by a gush of wind, seemingly in the way any religious horror films go. We assume she’s been possessed, or worse, something’s wrong with her baby, especially seeing her terribly pale face, but in reality, it’s just all her hair that sheds as if someone has run a pair of scissors through it in random motion. It’s the camera movement that lingers in the air outside of the home in the night and rushes inside at the break of day, as though it were a ghost’s point of view, you know? But that’s when you realize wholly that there is nothing supernatural in Tin & Tina, as it tries to step away from the stereotypical exorcisms that we’ve seen in countless religious horror films, but it’s stunted at...

The joke is on me for thinking Tin & Tina would be another trashy, puke-worthy Netflix rom-com, thanks to its title. Sure, that particular genre has its audience, but in the case of Tin & Tina, I’m very happy to have been proven wrong after going through two anxiety-inducing, nightmarish hours—exactly the kind of thing I would expect from a good horror movie. Director Rubin Stein’s expansion of his 2013 short of the same name is a fascinating watch that keeps you on the edge of your seat for most of its runtime, with the anticipation of something waiting just around the corner. Funnily enough, the main premise of Tin & Tina, i.e., a childless couple adopting two orphan kids, can very well be the bedrock of a wholesome family drama, but making a psychological horror out of it has to be way more fun, I would say.

The eerie orphan twins in Rubin Stein’s Tin & Tina are ardent believers of miracles. And while that may not have been a premeditated metaphor for the film, Stein’s psychological thriller with unsettling echoes of horror is nothing short of a miracle in itself. Raining on the parched terrains of a genre that hasn’t seen ingenuity or a true sense of effort in quite a while, Tin & Tina‘s recycled trope paints masterpieces in each organic frame. For an admirer of body horror such as yours truly to not miss it for a second and to allow the wave of the spine-chilling atmospheric dread to take over–’Tin & Tina’ has to be one of the finest manifestations of a cryptic strain of fear. And what better use of my time, now that I’ll be stewing in the lingering aftereffect of the film anyway, than to...

Prolific Andalusian production company La Claqueta has tapped award-winning screenwriter-producer Alberto Marini to direct rural thriller “Últimos días de caza” (“Last Days of Hunting.”)
Penned by José Cabeza, co-scribe on 2016’s “7 Years,” Netflix first Spanish original movie, “Last Days of Hunting” has a completed screenplay and has initiated financing.
The aim is to close the financing phase during this year and begin shooting second quarter 2024, probably in northern Spain.
“Last Days of Hunting” leads a growth-period for Seville-based La Claqueta, which is raising the ante in terms of film production ambitions.
“This is a noir that revolves around torpid masculinity; it is the story of volcanoes that don’t know how to release lava when they should and that explode inwards,” said Marini, who debuted as a helmer with 2015 horror feature “Summer Camp.”
“The story takes place in a very localized universe and is grounded in the territory but...
