"Crawler Commandeers"

As much praise as I given this season for being coherent and progressing the story with each episode, this might be the time where I have to eat some of those words. This episode didn't necessarily have a whole lot to add to the narrative, but while the storyline wasn't really useful, it was quite entertaining nonetheless. It was a lot of fun and there were some cool action sequences, but the pacing of the episode wasn't up to par with what we have come to expect. It felt like a longer episode, even though it is roughly as long, even shorter, than most the other episodes, so it might have simply been the premise and the execution that didn't quite interest. Hera's arc was the only thing that really had anything to say in regards to the plot, and it gave some nice dilemma for Hera, even though they weren't spending nearly enough time on her. It was an enjoyable episode, but also a highly forgettable one. It didn't fit into this particular season, given that they have done such a great job so far of adding more to the legacy, while this was simply something that will be overlooked by the history books.

Crawling Along

The standard in this season up to here had been very solid but stories were already taking a bit too long with a bit too much unncessary material. This episode causes the storyline to slow, ironically to crawling pace.

There is basically only one aspect of value in this episode: Hera making a great, strong willed stance as a leader insisting the rebels should attack the Empire on Lothal. That is a scenario which is an important move in the season's plot arc and the scenes with Hera are done really well.

The rest of the episode is totally pointless filler. It is quite pleasant entertainment but is very insubstantial.

It is a bit annoying when such unnecessary filler is chucked into the show.

My rating: 5.5/10.

I'm crawling too

I think I'm with everyone else on this one.

It's not terrible, but Hera has all of the best moments. Had her plot been more prevalent in this episode, maybe I'd like it a bit more. All of the mining stuff was still well animated and entertaining, but given how great the quality of this whole season has been thus far, I expect more. I can't help but feel like this may be a pretty skippable episode. The Rebels always pull through, so would couldn't they just leave off screen without ease?

It's an okay episode in a season full of great ones. Entertaining, but nothing more I guess.

Complete Filler

Pointless episode, just read the summary and skip.

The main characters muddle around for 20 minutes, and have a little short mission. A very annoying episode, as it had begun to feel like the show was building to a grand finale.
