The second series continues along its tedious way.

Gina and Sam bicker over Gina's father Joe staying with her. Sam wants Joe to stick around knowing it annoys Gina but it also sets up a potential love interest with Sam's mother in law Mimi.

Still Gina has a surprise for Sam, a surprise 40th birthday party and somehow Gina managed to track down all of Sam's school friends. This is some doing, I cannot remember most of the people who I went to school with never mind track them down. Yet Gina has managed it with someone she does not like and tracked down people Sam last saw over 20 years ago. This does leave with a subplot of Sam finding romance from her first love, someone who once stood her up many years ago. However I do think she also has a shine for the new assistant chef that Gina has employed.

The dangling now 'non incest' story-line returns as Michael reappears finds out from Teresa that her therapist might be abusing her and then confronts the therapist violently. I was surprised the therapist did not immediately call the police. Maybe he does have something to hide.
