Teri Polo has booked a mystery role over on CBS’ FBI: International — though we have a fun theory on who she could be playing.
Polo of course has starred on TV’s The Fosters and its offshoot Good Trouble, as well as Fox’s one-and-done The Big Leap. And as far as broadcast-tv procedurals go, she had a mini arc on CBS’ own NCIS that spanned the Season 19 finale and Season 20 premiere, playing Special Agent Alden Parker’s ex-wife, Vivan.

According to new McKinsey & Company research, there are over 62 million Latinos living in the United States who not only account for more than $3 trillion of Gdp but are also avid consumers of film and TV. US Latinos account for 24 percent of box office ticket sales and 24 percent of streaming subscribers. Yet somehow, there still aren't enough Latines behind and in front of the camera even though our viewership doubles when we see ourselves represented on or off screen.
Today, we still don't have enough TV programming that accurately represents us - and the few shows that have been created for us and by us, like "Vida," "One Day at a Time," "Promised Land," and "Gentefied," were eventually all canceled despite their popularity. Among these many cancellations was Dominican American creator Claudia Forestieri's beloved "Gordita Chronicles," which was released in June 2022 on HBO Max and was canceled after just one season.

Station 19 knows how to bring the laughs and the tears.
It's why this series continues to resonate with its vast audience, and Staton 19 Season 7 Episode 2 was no exception, as it delivered an action-packed, heartwarming, and heartrending episode all at once.
At the forefront of that hour was learning that Jack Gibson would no longer be fighting fires, his Cte preventing him from continuing with a job he deems his true purpose with the people he considers his family.
The devastating news led to some genuinely emotional scenes, with viewers reaching for the Kleenex.

Despite being canceled, the people behind Freeform's Good Trouble are telling fans what they had planned for the story of a potential Season 6.

Freeform is expanding its unscripted slate with two new series.
The network announced Wednesday that it has two new reality series set to premiere this year — Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise and Wayne Brady: The Family Remix. Details on both series are below.
The news comes as Freeform wrapped one of its flagship scripted series, Good Trouble, on Tuesday after five seasons. Grown-ish, another young adult series that helped the network usher in its new era once it rebranded from ABC Family, is also ending this month.
The network is now focused on repositioning its programming once again to include a larger slate of unscripted original series. The two newly announced series join the existing slate that includes Chrissy & Dave Dine Out, and the upcoming Royal Rules of Ohio and Sasha Reid & The Midnight Order.

What is the future of Freeform once it wraps both of its scripted series?
That question has been top of mind since the Disney-owned network announced that its remaining scripted series were ending this year and now the cabler is offering a hint of what’s to come.
Freeform on Wednesday announced that two Hulu unscripted series, Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise and Wayne Brady: The Family Remix, will air first on its linear platform before launching the following day on the streamer. Both series were previously announced as Hulu originals and mark a shift in strategy as Freeform originals traditionally air the following day on Hulu. This is the first time a program announced for Hulu will have its linear debut ahead of its streaming bow.

Good Trouble ended on Freeform last night with an extended series finale episode, but it was not initially filmed that way. The drama's fifth season wrapped filming in June ahead of its cancellation in December.
The series stars Cierra Ramirez, Tommy Martinez, Emma Hunton, Sherry Cola, Zuri Adele, Josh Pence, Bryan Craig, and Booboo Stewart. It features characters first seen in The Fosters. The story follows Mariana (Ramirez) and others who live in a small apartment building in Los Angeles. Maia Mitchell, who departed at the end of season four, returned for the series' final episode.

It's the end of an era for Freeform as Good Trouble comes to a close this week. Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) and Callie (Maia Mitchell) said goodbye to The Coterie, ending a 10-year journey for the characters after five years on The Fosters before heading off on their new adult adventures in the spin-off series.
The Good Trouble creative team wasn't aware the show was ending when they originally crafted (and shot) the Season 5 finale. Freeform made the announcement during the season's post-production and allowed the crew to film additional scenes to wrap up the story. Despite only having a few scenes to pull together a series finale, the final episode of Good Trouble was representative of everything fans have loved about the show, from outlandish plots to heartwarming family moments.

It's the end of an era.
With Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 20, we saw a significant chapter close for this refreshing, conscientious, and inspiring series.
Sadly, not only did the series finale mark the end of Good Trouble, but it also meant the last chapter of The Fosters franchise closed.
The series' end leaves a massive void in the television landscape for similar series that combined a found family element with a timely exploration of social issues while bending genres.
We've lost something special, and that's a sentiment we unpack in our Good Trouble Series Finale Review.
But TV Fanatic had the pleasure of speaking with co-creator, showrunner, and EP Joanna Johnson.
She chatted about ending a decade-long journey, the unexpected cancellation, and the impact Good Trouble leaves behind.
If you haven't watched the series finale already, be warned that there are spoilers below!

To borrow from Davia, it's the end of an era.
With a heavy heart and the taste of bittersweetness, with Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 20, we not only said goodbye to the series but also marked the end of a franchise.
As a result, this unplanned finale had double the impact, as characters we've experienced for an entire decade signed off, presumably for the last time.
It's never easy to say goodbye to a series that has made it this far. In an industry where we frequently see series get the boot before it can even get into telling its stories, Good Trouble making it five seasons is a remarkable feat.
And even the diehard, most dedicated fans of this series often agree that the series was due to get wrapped up sooner rather than later.
However, it doesn't make this loss any less impactful, nor the fact that we essentially...

‘Good Trouble’ Co-Creator Breaks Down the Series’ Emotional Farewell
Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers from “What Now?,” the series finale of “Good Trouble,” now streaming on Hulu.
“Good Trouble,” which aired its series finale on Freeform Tuesday, has been a flagship show for the channel’s Gen-z and liberal-leaning audience since it premiered in 2018. The drama was a spinoff from “The Fosters,” a groundbreaking, foundational show for ABC Family, Freeform’s previous name before it rebranded with a heavier focus on programming for politically active 20somethings. “Good Trouble” centered on “The Fosters” characters Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) as they moved into a communal loft space called The Coterie in downtown Los Angeles, and began their post-grad adult lives.
Yes, the show revolved around Callie and Mariana’s personal and fledgling professional lives, but it also tackled real-life issues that affected them and their housemates. In the first season,...

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the series finale of Freeform’s Good Trouble.
Good Trouble has officially taken its final bow.
The Freeform series ended Tuesday night after five seasons, concluding more than a decade of television telling the stories of the Adams-Foster family and those closest to them. In some ways, Good Trouble ended exactly how it began — with Callie and Mariana.
Maia Mitchell rejoined Cierra Ramirez one last time for the finale, in which the residents of The Coterie find out the building is being sold and they’ll all need to move out. As they gather for a final Coterie dinner and rooftop hang, everyone reminisces on all they’ve gone through together. Callie and Mariana certainly have more than their fair share of trials, tribulations, and celebrations to reflect on.
“They’ve been working together for over 10 years, since they were 17 and 19,” showrunner and...

It was tough enough saying goodbye to The Fosters back in 2018, but at least then, viewers could follow the further adventures of Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez). Fans fell in love with them all over again as they played out the next chapter of their lives on spinoff series Good Trouble. Now, after a five-season run, the two sisters, their friends, and adversaries will take a final bow in Good Trouble’s series finale titled “What Now?” airing March 5 on Freeform. TV Insider chatted with the show’s co-creator/executive producer Joanna Johnson about Good Trouble’s last episode, why it’s ending now, what her plans are for the future, and what she hopes the legacy of both The Fosters and Good Trouble will be. Plus, as the actress-turned-writer/producer will always be known as Caroline Spencer Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, we asked about...

Seeing strong and impactful female characters on TV inspires us, rallying us to do better like these females have done whenever the chips were down.
Some of these characters have inspired us for years, like Svu’s Olivia Benson or Btvs’s Buffy Summers, while other females have only recently hit our TV screens, like The Way Home’s Del Landry. However, these female characters have resonated with us over the years.
Some of the stories may have hit too close to home, like Netflix’s Georgia Miller running from an abusive past, and we cheered her on every step of the way.
We want to honor and recognize these women during National Women’s Month. They’ve taught us that we can achieve our dreams and not let anyone mess with us.
Check out the list below:
Olivia Benson (Law & Order: Svu.)
The Goat has to be Olivia Benson.

Exclusive: Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer is bulking up its Season 3 cast with 4 new actors joining the fold: Merrin Dungey, Allyn Moriyon, John Pirruccello and Philip Anthony-Rodriguez.
They join returning stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller, Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco and Yaya DaCosta as Andrea Freemann. The recurring cast also includes Neve Campbell, Elliott Gould, Krista Warner, Fiona Rene and Devon Graye.
Dungey will portray Judge Regina Turner, a former public defender who is younger and more progressive than most judges in the district, but whether that’s a benefit to Mickey or not remains to be seen. Moriyon plays Eddie Rojas, a fitness buff who needs a very good lawyer. Luckily, Mickey can help him and then offers him the opportunity of a lifetime. As someone who adores both Evan and Joaquin, a girl is hot & bothered and conflicted!
The absolute highlight of Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 19 was the movement regarding this love triangle. We're still unsure where it's supposed to land, and with no time left for this series, these complications are more nerve-wracking than ever.
Outside of that, the Silas saga still rages on, Gael finally makes a move against Yuri, and Davia gets screwed over.
We only have one installment left, and I have no idea what we're supposed to expect from the coterie gang moving forward.
Can we get closure? How much can we get by adding some scenes to an installment already in the works with a designated plan?
So much of the season has been treading through water, biding time until what? No one knows, and then we got the colossal blow that it was the final season.

When the nostalgia kicks in, that's when it hits the hardest that this series will be signing off permanently.
With an hour like Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 18, it gathers many beloved characters together for a happy event with classic Coterie feelings and delivers on some of The Fosters' nostalgia.
Not only did we have a happy, content, and beautifully in love Callie to contend with and elicit all the "feels," but Stef, Lena, Jude, and Brandon's presence pulled at a girl's heartstrings.
Gosh, dammit, I really miss The Fosters!
I miss The Fosters and mourn the loss of family dramas of the same caliber that excelled at compelling storytelling and tapping into all the emotions that the human experience entails.
They don't make family dramas like that anymore. I certainly don't see too many of them on a roster anywhere.
Family dramas and even series with a strong family drama...

You can never go wrong with moms.
It's always a delight when Lena and Stef guest star in an installment, and Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 17 gave us some family moments between the Adams-Foster parents and the Hunters.
And the hour also saw Mariana and Joaquin doing the opposite of what Callie told them to do. Go figure, right?
Picking up where things left off with Alice and the Ferret trio, things weren't going well between Morty and Maury, and predictably, it was because the latter was hurt that Morty never told him he was gay sooner.
It's not uncommon for people in Maury's position to think this way and feel as if not knowing someone they love to their core is a personal affront.
He felt as if their whole friendship was in question if Morty could keep something so monumental from him.
It's a generally human reaction to situations like this,...

He felt as if their whole friendship was in question if Morty could keep something so monumental from him.
It's a generally human reaction to situations like this,...

Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich said that Freeform would remain “very dedicated” to the young female adult audience it serves, despite the channel being impacted by the company’s new carriage agreement with Charter Communications.
“We know they’re watching television in a lot of different places,” Erwich told press at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Saturday. “In fact, most of the viewing of Freeform shows actually happens on Hulu.”
Erwich added that Freeform has a “full slate” planned for 2024 despite no new scripted shows in the works following the final seasons of “Good Trouble” and “Grown-ish,” and would serve its audience through a “variety of methods,” including unscripted series and themed holiday programming such as the 25 Days of Christmas.
In addition to his comments on Freeform’s future, Erwich boasted about the success of “Only Murders in the Building” on ABC, which has reached over...

Part two of Good Trouble’s fifth and final season is currently airing on Freeform, followed by Part two of grown-ish‘s sixth and final season in the spring . When it ends, so will the presence of original scripted series on the Disney cable network.
Once a destination for pop culture defining YA series such as Pretty Little Liars, Freeform over the past few years has scaled back its original scripted fare, with no current shows and no major projects in the pipeline.
There have been a lot of questions lately about the viability of original scripted programming on ad-supported basic cable, with many networks pulling away from it due to high costs that are hard to sustain amid declining linear ratings and accelerated cord-cutting.
The prospect of Freeform maintaining an original scripted slate faced further uncertainty when the network was dropped by leading cable operator Charter in September...

Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich used his time before the press corps Saturday at TCA to spotlight the value of the Mouse House’s ecosystem.
Overseeing a portfolio that includes ABC, Freeform and Hulu as well as a slate of kids channels, the executive said the decision of what programming goes on linear or streaming is “not one vs. the other” but rather that all of the platforms are “complementary” and “non-duplicative” that “work together.”
Armed with a Landgraf-ian amount of data, Erwich said Disney collected 54 billion hours of viewing, starting first on linear before growing to streaming platforms in the U.S. last year, which is 10 billion more than their closest competitor. “That’s the bar and how we think of success, the long game,” he said of creating a library that can draw viewers for years to come. “New shows invite subscribers in, the library of hits keeps them with us,...

The return of Callie Adams-Foster makes everything better.
Dare we say it, but Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 16 felt the most like a vintage installment for this series in quite some time and tapped into the Good Trouble nostalgia and endearing vibe of Good Trouble Season 1.
Callie's return felt as well-placed as Isabella's, and all of the plot points of the hour were compelling and moved things forward.
From the performances and pacing to the subject matter and character focus, "One Way or Another" was one of the strongest hours of Good Trouble Season 5, combining the season's darker tones with some of the compelling approaches to life's issues that were so prominent for the series in its prime.
There wasn't a single miss with storylines during this hour.
The series still remembers Lyric, and instead of using her as Gael's wingbaby regarding his growing attraction and budding potential relationship with Jay,...
