First of all, like most shows of this ilk, the word "celebrity" is a stretch. la toya jackson, bronson pinchot, and that guy from the the office are a part of the newest gang of bad cooks (so they say) to come into the big fake kitchen for training. it's edited of course, but way too much.
just as an aside, i don't think latoya has changed her look since the 80's.
The on-screen gags and graphics get more over-the-top whenever they do this (to be fair, the civilian version is getting pretty silly also). now, the food network doesn't really have much in the way of comedy shows, so maybe they're just upping the ante to bring something hard to find to the channel.
One thing about this season, though, is maria bamford. i love her as a comedian and as an actress - her netflix show, lady dynamite, is great. she always brings to her performances a sense of the real issues she's dealt with regarding mental illness. watching her cutting things up with really shaky hands, though, makes me very nervous. she's always shaking!
